Not really among my favourites of Riot. It's not bad but there's too many songs that tries to go in some mainstream hard rock approach. Not to my liking. Wings of Fire on the other hand is an excellent ripping heavy metal song!

You'd think than an album with this ugly cover art would completely suck balls, right? Born in America however isn't bad album at all, maybe at times little too tame and mainstream for a band like Riot, but bad? Nope. I found every song fine and listenable, but none of them blew my socks away, what this album lacks is a big standout song to really get things going. Rhett Forrester had improved his singing since Restless Breed and that classic hard rock plexi tone of Mark Reale was still awesome.

It's basically AOR without keyboards at this point and not very memorable one. First skippable Riot album in my opinion.
