Lyrics 'Battle Metal' is a re-recorded version of 'The Heart of Turisas' from their first EP. An even earlier version of this track can also be found on their 1999 promo (also titled 'The Heart of Turisas').
LP re-released in 2010 by Century Media as a box containing the vinyl, CD and a t-shirt.

Yes, is another "___" Metal band, nowadays everyone wants to put an special label on their music, like "Dragon Metal", "Negative Metal" and now, "Battle Metal" , in defend of the band subject to the review here, I must say that for the first time I really feel like the title here suits the style perfectly, because when I hear Turisas I want to storm into some epic battle carrying one axe in one hand, a shield on the other and in my back a bow and a quiver of arrows. Generic crap for me. Not to say that most folk metal doesn't have similar lyrical themes and styles but this really seems like a particularly poor attempt at that viking-ish theme. Some of the songs would probably be quite catchy if I gave it another spin ('One More' stood out as one of the better tracks) but I actually don't want that to happen. That's how cringe-worthy I find it. Especially 'The Land Of Hope And Glory'. What a terrible song.
