All right let's get this up and going already! Fleshgod Apocalypse are a brutal death metal outfit formed in 2007 with only a demo and split record to their name before unleashing this gem, known simply as "Oracles". For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, an oracle is an esteemed individual, akin to a wise-man, who has foresight and/or is capable of predicting events that have not yet occurred. The irony therein stems from the complete lack of foresight this reviewer had prior to hearing this album, in spite of the hype surrounding it.

Yeh, really really good album, nice riffs, good mix of brutality and melody. some of the classical outros to some of the tracks are a little lame and a bit too long at times. but awesome album nonetheless.

awesome in everything except the songwriting a bit. they need to mature a bit their ideas in order to write (ONLY) great songs....!

Great album!

Saw this band supporting the black dahlia murder recently, and they were fucking incredible. I think the same can be said for this album as well. Really tight guitars, well-infused piano work, and a penchant for some well-structured tunes.

This album has it all. Crushing production that is really tight and to the point. Nothing sounds odd or loose at some ends. Everything connects perfectly and the riffage will make you yearn for more. Drums are ludicrous, especially the pedals.
Nothing negative to say about this album.

Vocals can get tedious and boring, same monotonous growl on every song. Apart from this, they are a very talented bunch and the mix of brutal heaviness and excellent musical composition that has classical influence is a breath of fresh air.

You don't know how your clothes feel...
For those who haven't listened to this album, save your money, better off jumping into your washing machine and push START, you'll get something similar.
