Can't say I'm complaining. Good as Teng Cav are, I much prefer Nine Treasures's Mongol folk/clean vocal mix.

I'm pretty new to these guys, but I thought Ancient Call was the freshest extreme folk I had heard in some time. Solid compositions, fun guitar, nice mixture of other instrumentation. Their other albums are good too, but I though Ancient Call was the best as a whole.

Really looking forward to this one! Tengger Cavalry were one of my biggest surprises in 2014.

Finished with first half of this record from neighbours and so far it was fine release. Overemphasized on folk instruments and therefore, songs were going in a different odd loop.

Unlike many of their peers, there is not a hint of parody in these masterful compositions. Tengger Cavalry have a clear love and appreciation for the culture and history behind everything they do. I like it but need to give it a few more listens before really judging. I think the almost total absence of vocals hurts it more than helps as I'm not a big fan of instrumental metal releases.

When Apocalyptica goes pop, here comes Tengger Cavalry's "Blood Sacrifice Shaman". Awesome album!
