We all have emotions. Emotions are what makes us human. Now, imagine yourself conjuring every last drop of emotion buried deep inside you, bundling them all up and releasing it, allowing it to flow back gently into your body. How, do you imagine, would you feel? Overwhelmed, maybe? That is exactly how I felt when I listened to Stormbirds for the first time, the overwhelming feeling of being stifled under sheer desolation and misery, despair-ridden at the bleak outlook of life that this album portrays. Only art can make you feel this way?

The best damn Gothic album I've ever heard...

Yes, definitely a great release And Tom Sedotschenko's vocals are painful, genuine, and he leaves his soul on this album. It's also a varied album, giving some harsh/clean vocals, some more eerie melodic parts, as well as some abrasive gothic metal. Buying the remastered version of this album (and of Seasons) was well worth it. Great packaging and improved sound.

Absolutely.
Believe it or not I come here everyday just to see if there is a review on it, and everytime I get disappointed...well, not anymore...I've been here for years but I never intended to write any reviews...but I will review this beautiful art ASAP.
I take it you are going to be the first to drop a comment?;)

I am looking forward to it then! And you know, sometimes a request for an album review is not a problem, especially for these older, less known discs Glad to meet another fan of the older EverEve work on MS.

Likewise .This is a very, very personal album for me...
My 'mission' on MS is to strive, to promote timeless albums such as this and others who have been neglected throughout the course of time, maybe help putting them in a place they richly deserve...

The best damn Gothic album I've ever heard...

Not nearly the best gothic metal album for me, but still an excellent album. It took me a few spins to grasp it, but when I did, it was totally worth it.

Honestly it surprises me you like this so much. Didn't know you were into gothic metal all that much.

Btw, Tom Sedotschenko's vocals are among the best vocals I've ever heard. Really talented guy, what a shame he's gone.

What can I say? I have a really strong gothic metal-listening past. It never was my favorite genre but nearabouts for sure. Stormbirds is one of those albums that I never tire of, even now.
And yeah, Tom was indeed an extraordinary vocalist. One of the key highlights of Stormbirds is his singing. Elevated it to another level.
