DIRE - Volume I drops in August. Getting the material out there, looking for general thoughts, input, influences that you can pick out, anything.


If you like the stuff, by all means feel free to share it. We currently have three demos off of the album out to show the mix of range our songs have, stylistically. We try to go for a straight up metal sort of sound, then leaning towards hard rock with our softer side. We get labeled as metalcore a lot, but I don't often hear metalcore that sounds like us. Let us know what genre you would put us under.

My band is a one man melodic death metal band where I play the drums, guitar, and do the vocals. I also recorded my first album myself. I am 20 years old and have been playing drums since I was 1 1/2 years old ( here is a video of me playing at 1 1/2 years old https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2m5Bbdo4RxY ). I have been learning guitar over the last 7 or 8 years and am currently going to school through Berklee Online getting my bachelors in music business.

My main guitar influences are Brendon Small (Dethklok) and Josh Middleton (Sylosis). My main influence for drums in Chris Adler (Lamb of God) and Mario Duplantier (Gojira). The closest comparison to how my vocals sound is probably Amon Amarth (mainly low growls). I could go on forever but most importantly here is a link to some of my music:

I would like to introduce you to the new prog metal band Seventh Station! The band self-released their debut album "Between Life and Dreams" on September 7, 2016.

A little bit info about the band:

Seventh Station is an international progressive metal band based in Slovenia. The band was formed by guitarist Dmitri Alperovich and bassist Alexey Polyansky in 2008. The band combines classical music education with modern influences using high level of musicality and virtuosity. Led by guitarist Dmitri Alperovich, and includes names such as Turkish pianist and conductor Eren Basbug (known for his work with progressive metal pioneers Dream Theater, Jordan Rudess etc) and Israeli Vocalist Davidavi (Vidi) Dolev (Omb, Reign of the Architect, Gunned Down Horses, etc. ), the band's debut album 'Between Life and Dreams' provides the listener 65 minutes of devoted progressive metal and will leave no doubt to anyone who will listen.
