What I'm about to show you is one of the most brutal albums ever to see daylight in the metal scene, an album that successfully accomplishes its goal which is to make you say "fuck?I so want to kill a virgin bitch and then rape her dead body?maybe a couple of times constantly" while the album comes to an end; of course you will have to do the accepted thing and stay at home listening to this album again and again while your PC gets loaded with porn and stuff.

Whatever, the music surrounding this piece is marvelous, it's not just another Brutal Death Metal band out there, Putrid Pile demonstrates that brutal music can be gifted and structured at times. The album concentrates in loading our brain with catchy breakdowns and a lot of twists here and there (including some technical edges actually), the music will run smoothly, at times you'll be hearing utter brutality with its consequential catchiness, but then you'll also find songs like Baby Brains or the amazing Blind, Torture, Kill (the best track in my opinion) which revolves the atmosphere completely giving us some Grindcore/Goregrind flavors.

I was actually overwhelmed when I saw the guy responsible for this brutal indulgence, Shaun Lacanne is the man behind all this sheer strength and power. Oddly when you see his picture you'll say "uhm?I've seen geek guys and Shaun" he's a regular dude with no visible tattoos, wearing glasses, with an innocent look in his face; but damn, once you hear his vocal range (really versatile by the way) your image will change exaggeratedly, now the geek is a freaking huge monster gurgling some gore lyrics while drinking rotten blood and maybe old semen who knows.

The production is loud and clear, even the artwork is really good (reminds me of old Cannibal Corpse's albums) and the layout it's quite original and it suits perfectly with the lyrical content presented in The Pleasure In Suffering

I can go on forever but it would be pointless, you just have to buy this album right now and then you'll understand my words. If you want your music to be fucking brutal and gory, if you are sick and tired of those pseudo-aggressive bands giving nothing but "strawberry flavored" riffs, then try Putrid Pile, it will fucking blow your brains out. On the other hand, if you are one of those "I think metal should be about love and H.I.M. is love" then go fuck yourself, this album is for the true metal-heads only.

Best Tracks: "Bind, Torture, Kill", "My Inner Demon", "Caged And Awaiting Death"

I just got this the other day and I'm pretty impressed. It's fast as hell and the vocals are 100% real, according to the booklet.

yeah...the vocals are twisted as fuck and they are 100% real...check for this guy's live videos, kind of dumb as he's just one guy with a guitar and all..but his vocals are in-fucking-sane

Great, brutal stuff. Gets kind of repetitive, but what they're repeating is killer so....
