Superb album, wish I'd checked them out years ago. Where do I go with this band from here?

I like The Pariah, the Parrot, the Delusion second to this one, but it's not nearly as good.

I'll check that one out next. Listened to Catch Without Arms today and really liked that too despite its comparative simplicity.

Unfortunately those are their only 2 really good albums. El Cielo is by far their best work, but CWA was good too. May want to check out Leitmotif, it's alright.

The Pariah, the Parrot, the Delusion was a pretty huge disappointment coming from El Cielo and CWA imo. And the new album is complete junk

Have to say I agree with that. I skimmed through it because much of it was unbearable.

Agreed, while the woman posing on the cover is pretty hot the new album is not hot at all. I couldn't through the whole album.

I've been a dredg fan since El Cielo's release in '02 and as my tastes in music in have changed this is the only album that still gets played. CWA is pretty good, PPaD is o.k., Leitmotif is o.k. and the new album doesn't even deserve a mention but good ol' El Cielo, still a classic.

I was lucky enough to see them live a bunch of times years ago right when they were putting CWA out so they didn't have any crappy material yet. Long story short they put on an amazing show live. Very energetic and emotional.

This is really interesting and enjoyable but somehow I find it a little repetitive. For instance, the chorus in sanzen is repeated for 3 times which is too much for an 4.5 minute prog/art rock song.
All in all, I give this album 8.5

Is it me, or this album sounds a bit like Katatonia's "Last Fair Deal Gone Down"?ś

Brilliant album. Artistic, beautiful, yet melancholic. I'd nearly forgotten about this group, but I'm glad they're on this site. Some post-rock, alt metal, a healthy dose of experimentation, artsy prog, among other genres you'll find on this album. Just fantastic. Favorite tracks: Triangle, Whoa Is Me, The Canyon Behind Her.
