Yet another official statement from Negura Bunget (it's in Romanian, so translated it goes roughly like this)ffs, never mind that, i've found the english version:

"We are sorry to see things have been a bit crazy around the Negura Bunget name these days. So, to make things clear: contact@negurabunget.com is now, as it always was, the only official voice of Negura Bunget. No matter anybody else is saying, it is not from within the band, it does not represent it and it cannot speak of its behalf. Everything will continue as presented in our previous official statement. We know it is not easy for anyone, but in the end each has to assume his path, his actions and statements. We fully do so!
It is now the time to stop the words, and let the actions and music do all the talking. May that each shall find its own path now!."

Honesty, I don't give a dead horse on Negru and his "Negura Bunget". There is no such thing without the three of them, and I don't know why but I have the itchy feeling that someone's greed for $$ killed Negura Bunget.

Fuck... Promonex and I were going to see them in June. Now it's up in the air again. How are the other musicians? Any ideas?

I don't know Marcel, things were starting to go well for them, financialy speaking, and anyway, that's the basic idea I see behind Sol and Hupogrammos's statement. If what they say is true, and the three of them have agreed to end Negura Bunget and go on separate paths, Negru's current current activities (recruting some questionable "band-members", signing tons of contracts bla bla bla) makes it look like somebody just found his taste for bussiness. Anyway it's just an opinion from a guy that sits in front of the computer and reads the news so don't hit me.

Rossowski, the other musicians have a band yelling about the wild dacian warriors or some crap like that. There's some of their stuff on myspace, they're called Syn Ze Sase Tri.

I'd say they can't hold a candle. Sure, bussiness will go well with this scandal, and the gigs will be full probably, but they'll be just a shadow of Negura Bunget.

That's what I would say too, if I had JUST found out about an awesome (yet RATHER unknown) band's demise. lol, just kidding, Dude. Sometimes I just have to say or write mean shit. I guess I'll still go see them in June, it couldn't be that bad, plus we should support the guy who is doing all this stuff. That Dude really works his ass off to get some good shows for us fans!

One of the best out there. Listening to 'Om' again and again. Really satisfying.

Om is my most listened to album by Negura Bunget. It took me a while to understand the work done there. Once I truly felt Om, I started listening to it relatively often.

I like OM a lot TBH. One of my recent favourites, I want to hear more from them and I am wondering which album to listen to after OM, Are their any that come close to that in quality?

'n Crugu Bradului and Măiastru Sfetnic for sure.

I would argue their later albums are closest. 'n Crugu Bradului and Maiestrit should probably fit the bill... Maiestrit is Maiastru Sfetnic completely redone.

their latest is similar, but somewhat stripped down a tad (for easier live performance, i imagine), but is virtually a completely new band as the two primary creative elements left.

Just heard OM. hated the production. Shelved.

2/3 of the band that created OM went on to form Dordeduh. They only released an EP of 13 minutes so far, but you might enjoy it.
