I'm looking for bands like Death in June, Current 93,... They are neofolk, really atmospheric with a bizarre touch. Any recommendations?

*Of The Wand And The Moon (especially the album "emptiness:emptiness:emptiness", and I heard Sonneinheim is good too))

and

*Sol Invictus : The Devil's Steed. I love this album.

I could go on with recommendations but start with those two. They're in the same kind of Folk as Death in June.

Ace made me discover Of The Wand and The Moon. Great neo-folk that you may like. The album Midnight Will is great.

Neofolkbands that I like are Forseti and Nebelung. Both sing in german. The atmosphere is great and the folk elements are really nice.
Another neofolkband that I can recommend is Apatheia. But there are no folk elements.

Forseti and Nebelung are cool yeah. I think there IS folk element in apatheia. it remembers me a bit of Sol Invictus at times. It definetly has the neo folk element. It's not as folkish as Faun and Garmana (who are conventional folk, not neo folk) but it has some instruments that I would associate with Sol Invictus, and that kind of Neo folk.

I would like to recommend Strength Through Joy, one of my favorite neofolk acts alongside Current 93, Death In June, Of The Wand And The Moon, Forseti, Blood Axis etc, the song "The Force Of Truth And Lies" (the instrumental version is one of the most beautiful and utterly emotional neofolk songs i have ever listened to). The title of the album that contains this song is "The Force Of Truth And Lies" as well. If you want to listen to some milistaristic industrial/neofolk you can always give a try to bands like Von Thronstahl and Der Blutharsch.

The part of this kind of music i adore is the fact that many neofolk acts can evoke both a patriotic feeling and an emotional/melancholic atmosphere always filled with the longing and the nostalgia of olden times, whereas the part of this scene i hate is the national socialistic associations, yet not every band bears such beliefs, some acts have been misunderstood for their political beliefs whereas some others like Strength Through Joy and Sol Invictus have expressed themselves in a negative way against racism, just like it has to be.

Sonne hagal would also be worth a recommendation.
Of the wand and the moon is my personal favourite band. It seems like you've already checked them out, but if you haven't tried their first one yet, go for it.

I heard about Current 93, but never listened them. Nevertheless, try ROMOWE RIKOITO (in many articles they were compaired with Current 93).

EDIT: By the way, check this resourse: http://seidr.woods.ru/ (don't worry, this site is not only in russian, it has english variant too). Here you can find anything related to NeoFolk music.

The problem with those bands is that I can't find them in p2p downloading programs and I don't have enough money at the moment to buy an album blindly... So I guess I'll have to wait before listening to them all Anyway, thx everyone

You tried with DC++ ? I usually find my neofolk while searchin through theses 5 hubs:

*pagan.no-ip.info
*grindcore.no-ip.org
*heaven1.sytes.net:6969
*mystical.ancient.pl:4001
*redirect.hoe.asgards.org:4111

And if you don't know how to use DC++ or can't find what you want, I could send you some stuff over msn.

Ensiferum is a good band.

And yet not Neofolk at all. Neofolk isn't the same thing as folk metal.

Oh, really? They struck me as neo-folk. They play folk metal and have a sort of neo-classical sound, but maybe not. Sorry for the confusion.

I'd recommend you a Finnish band called Nest - they play a minimalistic style of neofolk, using keyboards and kantele. Their music is simply awesome - very atmospheric and eerie. Check them out!

Hagalaz Runedance (now known as Nebelhexe) is a great folk / experimental band.

Lord Wind is also among the best medieval/ambiant bands i know, definitely check this one out. It's not entirely folk but it's still amazing.

Since there seems to be some confusion, folk metal is not neo-folk. "Neo" technically means "New." Basically neo-folk is modern bands who play in the style of traditional folk music. So no electric guitars.

Try Stille Volk - "Moudat."

Stille Volk, Hagalaz Runedance, Tenhi, Of the Wand and the Moon (Luuuciiifeeer...luuuciiiifeeeer) are all great bands, highly recommended for fans of neo-folk

Furthermore, there are 'lighter' bands like Hedningarna or Gjallarhorn, while I know Hedningarna are called neofolk, they might not be what you're looking for.

Perhaps Darkwood? I recommend them too.

I thought that I was the only one in MS who know and like Stille Volk, what a great band! one of the best folk bands I know.

Wongraven, the project of Sigurd Wongraven (Satyricon) is considered ambient/folk, with medieval influences, the music is completly made by keyboards and it has an awesome atmosphere, this is my recommendation

Yes, Satyre Cornu and Maudat are excellent Stille Volk songs, with these ones I discovered the band, and there's a huge list of good songs of the band. What other bands do you recommend?

Well , try Gae Bolg first , I just saw them live and they were amazing . And really funny (and drunk) . The album Aucassin et Nicolette is a good start . If you like it softer , their precedent albums have less electronica I think . It's also medieval music , mixed with weird samples and electric guitar . You can try also Hagalaz Runedance , but to be honest , Stille Volk and Gae Bolg are pretty unique .

I know Hagalaz Runedance, they're pretty good, though I know only 1 song, and I take advantage to recommend QNTAL, from Germany, electro-medieval, maybe you can enjoy their music. Now one question about Stille Volk: Do they sing in ancient french, I mean, in songs like Satyre Cornu? because I can't catch a word of the lyrics, in some other ones, like "Dans ses confins s'en retourna" I catch some words
