Can the last Isengard album get it's genre changed to heavy metal? No black or folk there.

Yes, and there's nothing black about it. Sounds like the Fenriz Red Planet ep/demo than Isengard.

I believe the genre "Gothic Metal" is a pretty apt description and I fail to hear any progressive death here.
Are you talking about a particular album that I might have missed?

I guess I can't argue what my perception of Gothic metal is when Season of Mist even describes the band's style as 'Gothic Metal'.

I think that Kreator played mostly Industrial Metal in years 1992-1999. (Renewal - Endorama)
It's not like they were playing classic thrash in the 90s and nothing changed
So i think that should be a thing

Thanks for pointing this out, but only Renewal is an almost balanced blend of industrial and thrash and I have changed the album's style accordingly.
You'll find a lot of odd ingredients in the subsequent three albums, like groove thrash, gothic, alternative and heavy metal, but industrial constitutes just a negligible proportion of these influences. Endorama, for instance, is a straight gothic metal album in my book.

Maybe " Atmospheric Gothic metal with oriental influences " is more reasonable, or this is how they describe themselves in their Social media pages

I can hardly hear any gothic on their earlier works, and "oriental influences" and "folk" are in this case more or less synonyms, basically expressing the same thing.

I would agree with "Gothic metal since 2020" though.

That's true. I had to delete the link because they never had their own Bandcamp. The old Hammerheart Records link was dead anyway.
You can still find some of their albums on Bandcamp, but those are always sites maintained by their former labels.

Neoandertals' Australopithecus is definitely not a brutal death release, it's a weird instrumental jam session. Not really sure what genre would fit it the best, maybe experimental rock or something like that.

Aaru states in their bio on their official homepage that they play progessive metalcore / djent, It's definitely not progressive metal and not really math either. The other is Ysyry Mollvün. It's avantgarde black metal and it's more black than avantgarde.

I would differentiate them and they are two different genres here on MS too. Example: The Dillinger Escape Plan is not djent but they sure are math.

BTW, I'm listening to Late December Blossomed Flower right now and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's pretty good.

BTW, I'm listening to Late December Blossomed Flower right now and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's pretty good.

Noticed it a couple of times when new bands get added. Luckily it's seems easy to correct.

Both albums are really good and the members are in other well known Romanian bands so it made me quite surprised that they weren't featured here on MS. A bigger surprise would be if Radu didn't know about them or maybe he has kept them a secret from the rest of us
