Great bm from the guys behind Ash Borer. Kinda like Skaphe but without the pyschedelic-y sound and riffing.

This comment goes to boath bands. There are triangle in 80's epic metal what is not manowar, Those 2 bands and Braces Helm. Long time ago as young men in 20's I did listen, dont remember if it was songs, whole albums, well many yes but all I dont remember. I re started listen boat like 3-4 years ago, but did noty manage, only BH . Since CU has new album out this year and somehow in the work, I did listen Necropolos few times in my brake. So I decide listen whole albums. From opening CU wins, MR was bad,. that band born to me whit Crystal Logic album. I dont remember how they sound later , so I am interested, and CU always is good re listen.

This band is to heavy to be just power metal, but not heavy enough to be thrash. IN US we have good thing, USPM. Well it sonds abit such way.
As I remember non song sounds same, it has weird old school jamming song writing, Accept or Udo each song has same song writing, here no, different process. I like it a lot. Good band, sad there are no actual album planned as we know. Good band , somehow we can ad groove pre fix. A bit Pantera, you know in soother Sweden there are rednecks to, hehhe. No they are not as Phil. lol. Anyway solid band, such genre mixture are not popular, not many likes it. Its underated, I wish many would know it more, specially those who are under 25.

Heavy Metta

Yesterday I listened to Incantation's last album, which is great. I was also listening to a lot of Baest (now that was a band I enjoyed seeing live!). I love their new tracks, Necro Sapiens is a catchy tune. I also listened to Venenum and Dance Macabre. I think they have gotten better with time. I also listened to some Cradle of Filth. Dusk and Her Embrace was one of my first CD albums I owned, and I still enjoy it. Cruelty & the Beast is an awesome album. Twisted Nails of Faith is one of my all time favourite tracks. I also listened to Nymphetamine, which I remember not giving a fair shot as the single was a bit too cheesy for me at the time, but it's a good album. I also listened to the new cannibal Corpse track a lot, I love it!

Today I listened to Eternal Champion while out running, I think Ravening Iron is a great album. I have been listening to some Tombs. All Empires Fall is OK, but I really enjoy Monarchy of Shadows and Under Sullen Skies. I'm thinking about watching their livestream on Bandcamp tomorrow, I think it will be a good Friday night (UK time) as far as Friday nights go in lockdown. I also listened to Arcturus Sideshow Symphonies, which is an album I love. ICS Vortex is one of my favourite vocalists, and some of these songs are all time favourites. At the end of the day I listened to a bunch of my favourite Onslaught tracks, and some other death and thrash songs I like.

I've been listening to more aggressive music in the last week, but if you take a month, it comes out to this list of albums:
Slipknot:
- Slipknot (1999)
- Iowa (2001)
- Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses (The Best Album) (2004)
- All Hope Is Gone (2008)
- .5: The Gray Chapter (2014)
- We Are Not Your Kind (2019)
(Basically, the whole Slipknot studio discography)
What else:
- Lamb Of God (Lamb Of God)
- Become THe Hunter (Suicide Silence)
- The Mortal Coil (Polaris)
- Too Mean To Die (Accept)
- TRAUMA (I Prevail)

Almost all the songs on these albums are to my liking. Especially Slipknot, I think it's one of the best bands.

Now playing: BLACK BLEEDING - Worship Demo 2003

Here is an ooold release of the belgian/ french band… The style was globally the same than on later releases, between death and black metal with some ferocious moments, perhaps with a bit more of “old brutal death” influences, and you can feel their style was less ”refined”, but good energy and some cool ideas.

I'm a little bit toasted right now (which was definitely the intention while listening to this, lol), I would think that based on the style and themes, that getting stoned before listening to it would be encouraged.

So, right off the bat, what stands out to me the most is, the unorthodox approach to the instrumentation. Om are the only metal band I've ever heard of who don't use electric guitars! That's right, no guitars... instead they use a fuzzy bass guitar. Also, that exotic instrument used in both the opening track and the closing track...that's not a sitar, it's apparently a tambura.

Yeah, this record is groovy af

Max Plänck - 1985 - Kill The Pain

This was really interesting. Categorized as a demo on MA it sounds a low budget record with some sloppy playing by the guitarist, and a little bit like live recorded material. The three man approach -- or two man and one woman, to be precise -- has the early Manilla Road touch to it. To be honest not a total winner record in song writing; I preferred the opener "Roar", "Everywhere Is Nowhere", "Northwind" and the almost epic "Enter into the Rock", but some of the songs are not too great. Rates 8 from me. Hence, it's a good one, proves once again that under dogs can deliver.

Coldsteel - 1990 - Perfect Peace (demo)

Really good sounding audio for such a release format. The songs are pretty decent tier 2-3 thrash material, nothing amazing in terms of what genre has to offer and not exactly original at all. Decent stuff nevertheless, not bad, rates about 7 from me. My favorite song¨here is Hazardous, especially on those parts where it gains more speed.

Tröjan - 1985 - Chasing The Storm

Rather unknown record that I have listened on a few different occasions on different eras of my life, and every time it has proven to be good. While the production sounds a little bit low budget the song material on the other hand is really great sounding, well written songs, somewhat akin to early Agent Steele albums. The opener/title song Chasing The Storm already is a genre classic, pure winning of its whole length. Hypnotized, Icehouse, Take No Prisoners and Agressor are other killer pieces. In total a classic record material, and it's probably safe to say that it's overlooked by many a metaller. Rates 9/10 from me.

Check this album out you guys or you won't have a clue what true metal of steel can be

Tröjan - 1985 - Chasing The Storm

Chasing the Storm is a legit banger! Everything about this thing kills, beginning from the hilarious cover art that has all the best metal cliches from bats and satan to gallows. And the band name "tröjan" means "sweater" in Swedish. It's the kind of stuff that shouldn't work at all musicwise and they probably weren't fully aware of what they were doing all the time, but they're pushing it so hard it actually kicks serious ass. This is what speed metal is all about.

They changed their name to Taliön and released another overlooked album, which is more thrash metal than speed.

Taliön - 1989 - Killing The World

Well, yes it's an another attempt from these guys. Pretty good song material, but on some points it could be either a bit faster and/or the guitarist needed to play something more interesting than this. Overall pretty good record with not enough killer songs IMO, I prefer the long one Laws Of Retaliation and the title track from these. 7/10 for me, so it's not one of the best albums for me, but some of the material is top tier and there are some killer guitar solos.

Heavy metal from Italy. I don't have much to write about this album, it's not really special in any way, pretty generic sounding and overall quite limp offering from the band. Also, the vocalist doesn't sound good here, to put it mildly. Rates 5/10 from me.
