Nice modern film about modernized military type of SWAT team in Boston, like it, nice new film, nice woman in cop team

I actually watched Captain Phillips recently and really enjoyed it. I thought I would hate it somehow and would be boring because it was on a boat. But the film has great performances. Don't want to give any spoilers, but there is a particular scene towards the end that involves a lot of blood and that was really unexpected and nicely done.

Lord of the Rings triology.. I'm a big fan of LOTR since I was like 12 years old.. I've read the books million times and also watched the movies million times.. I have original DVDs at home.. What can I say about the movies expect that all 3 are pure masterpiece.. I also like Hobbit triology but I prefer LOTR..

I was watching Expendables 1
Good film whit unrealistic shooting scene, great plane, bikes, car ... its good if people can spend six years as navy SEAL , or SAS, then learn how to use sentex, C4, all kind a weapons, knifes, fighting, surviving behind enemy lines, etc... you can be merscenery and get 50 K per one jon, 10 jobs, and you're great ms user who don't work and can be here all the time

Better as 1th one, but I wont complain about Geography, shootings, Gunnar pronaumcation what pissed me off , decent action film, sad sniper died, and JCVD was bad guy, nice action heros

Wait, you thought everything besides the shoot-outs was good? I thought the whole point of the Expendables was to bring a bunch of famous 80s action stars together and have them shoot shit.

Well, I wasn't going to argue with him about good movies, but it just surprised me that he didn't watch the Expendables for the reasons he should.

No story was better, as Fargo and Big lebowski ... both are boring, its like watch porn 90min , witch is so boring as well.
I don't think Steven Segal and JCVD are good actours. Seagal acting skills sucks, even in TV series cops or what was name, he sucks
JCVD best film was whit such name in French.

BTW Rambo 1 is more realistic as R2 and 3 . and has good story line, action movies can have good story lines as well

I saw The Birds for the first time. A little disappointing, to be honest. I can see why it's so loved: Hitchcock can really create tension, especially given there's no music, plenty of scenes were visually impressive, the acting was good and, unlike many modern catastrophe movies, there was actually an interesting/decent story running parallel to the bird plot. But ultimately it felt like a well-made thriller lacking greater depth and impact. Nowhere near as good as Vertigo, and even that I feel is a little overrated.

In fact, Hitchcock's films have never left me with the same impression of sublimity and "wow" that Kubrick, for example, manages. He's intelligent, clever and skilled, but what appeals to me is sincerity and gravity. It's a matter of taste, I guess, much like in literature: I'd take the ponderous epics of Thomas Mann over Fitzgerald's easy mastery any day.

R2 and 3 if I recall was forbidden in USSR , many soviet solders when 1th time get Ak fire practice, did as Rembo just shout all out.. f you're fired weapon you will understand

Rembo 4 part until blood was more realistic, more life what can happen, and even shouting in boat where he killed guys whit postol is possible if you're solder and shoute very day 4 h whit different weapons

I went to see Paddington. A surprisingly good family film. The plot was tight and clever, with rather dark humor and (thank god) not too much silly action and special effects. There were maybe two scenes in the entire film which I would have cut or toned down (a stupid bathroom flood and the mandatory chase scene on a skateboard), but I'm sure they appealed to younger audiences. The acting was really superb for the genre, with Hugh Bonneville and the absolutely gorgeous, elegant, wicked femme fatale Nicole Kidman. God I love that woman and will never understand how horny teenage boys can prefer sleepy babyfaces like Jennifer Lawrence or soulless monsters like Angelina Jolie.

If you like humorous adventure films, I recommend you see this one. It works perfectly well even if you're not a kid or did not read Paddington when you were one. 8/10.
