Bruce Dickinson - Accident Of Birth

The first album I listened to by bruce Dickinson solo, and it sounds fucking great too. Diversity, with acoustic songs like the excellett Omega, and then some superb guitar work on songs like the title track and freak.

Underated albumn, good sound, good lyrics, interesting interpratation ... all is perrect here.... more powerfull balad style of metal, seems he made it emeotinal

Dickinson's best solo album. It's superior to every Maiden album of the 90's, and it might be better than anything Maiden has done since Seventh Son. Except for Brave New World.

in maiden Bruce don't compose music its Steve's band, here he can ask musician compose as he wants

Seems decently good album with some filler material. The songs in the middle ( Darkside Of Aquarius, Road To Hell and Man Of Sorrows ) are great songs that shall be heard again

Excellent album imo. Only Welcome To The Pit and Omega are a bit disappointing imo. I really like all the other songs on this record.

His second best solo album imo. The Chemical Wedding is even better than this one (in fact that's one of my favourite heavy metal albums).

"The Magician" is the weakest song here.

"Omega" is fantastic.

Pretty average. Outside of Iron Maiden, Bruce isn't able to write any outstanding tracks. There are a few good songs but the vocals are just weak not interesting. At least in the 80's, Bruce had a strong voice even though he screams more than he sings, but the Maiden chemistry created several legendary tracks and Bruce's voice fit there perfectly.

It's a good album, but it's certainly not Bruce at his best, and it isn't quite Iron Maiden standard imo. I personally don't see anything wrong in the songwriting department, but I think his lacking the energy from his past performances, and there's a few too many ballady songs for my liking.

There are a few really good tracks, but nothing that really gives it that wow factor for me, "Freak", "The Magician", and "Road To Hell" are decent enough, but the only real stand outs for me are "Accident Of Birth", and "Darkside Of Aquarius".

I really liked the guitars and especially the solos and Bruce's vocals where top notch. Very good album

Wow, that's an old comment. Thanks for reminding me about this album - I just took this opportunity to listen to "Omega".

The way the slow, beautiful guitar solo kicks into higher gear and then finishes with that harmonized lead is just fantastic stuff.

A strong, solid release from Bruce Dickinson! After a few experimental, alternative rock-styled records this is Bruce's return to metal form. Good stuff all around.
