The Art Of War?no doubt, this is the basic text of Vader on The Art Of War. Yes, this release completely floored me. I can't remember the last time these Poles were so impressive and focused, so I've to make this clear - this is one perfect masterpiece of high quality death metal.
I can easily remember how I discovered Vader: it was in 2000, when we were discussing (me and fellow metalheads) who we though to be the most underrated band, they mentioned this great Polish death metal band called Vader. They also advised me to get their albums, I bought many albums of this band who are supposedly so damned good. Well, after just one listen I realized what all the band was about, as this is some of the most impressive death I've ever heard! Since then I have acquired all of the band's other albums which were monstrous.
The Art Of War was inspired from a Japanese book called Art Of War. On it, the band seemed to call for War and its benefits, The previous albums focused its rage much more on necronomicon and religion, but on The art of war they are concentrating their hatred solely on war and crisis.
It starts with Para Bellum, a great intro with superb symphonies and continuing into the second track "This Is The War," lots and lots of brutality and blasting. Thrashy grunts and cruching riffs are thrown out. All wrapped up in superb harmony and extreme coherency. Lead Us!!! A perfect death song, thundering double bass and nice chorus and sometimes topped off by some "Arrrrrrrrgh." The guitar tone is fu**ing brilliant, catchy and chunky.
So all in all, I really expect a lot from Vader, even after releasing Impressions In Blood which is perfect and deserves to be reviewed by the staff. And I highly recommend this opus for everyone of you who is looking for the best of the best.

Morbid Reich is one of the best Death Metal demos of all time, and now The Art Of War is one of the best Death Metal EPs of all time. Honestly, these 20 minutes of Vader equal at least 2 albums of any other band.
