Exivious are an rather young and really talented fusion metal band from The Netherlands.

A brief introduction from the band's website:

Combining the freedom and complexity of fusion with the intensity of metal. Experimental harmonic ideas weaved into heavy rhythmic patterns. That is what Exivious is all about!
The Exivious project was founded by guitarist Tymon in 1997. After the first stable lineup was completed at the end of 2001, they released a self-titled demo CD which gained a lot of interest from people all over the world.
Several years later, in early 2006, it was time for a new Exivious! Tymon searched and found some amazing musicians who were happy to help him out.
They are now preparing themselves to record their highly anticipated debut CD!

Life can be so ironic towards us at times.

The ex drummer, Iwan Hendrikx, from Exivious came to be the first drummer of Symphonic Metal band Epica during their Sahara Dust days. He left before the first demo got to be recorded though.

Exivious comes up with pretty good stuff and I am eager to here more from this band.

/ I take these words back, the C-187 album turned out quite different from the demo songs. Exivious' debut album will be out sometime this year.

Definitly waiting for it. It would be very interesting to compare it to the forthcoming Cynic album !

What is meant here is the mix of metal and jazz.

Neglected Fields from Latvia sounds very similar to this.

This song is clearly awesome, the best song/sample of Exivious I heard so far, it is very good that there's no vocals as I told you before!
