The Exploited performed in Lisbon, Portugal, yesterday as part of their tour with Napalm Death and Hatebreed. Unfortunately, their singer Wattie Buchan fell ill and the band had to cut short their performance and leave the stage. Wattie was then hospitalized and the band later posted a message on Facebook apologizing for stopping the concert halfway through but "Wattie had taken very ill and couldn't continue." Today the band issued another message confirming that he will stay in hospital for at least a week and so the band will not perform on the remaining dates of this tour.

Message from The Exploited: "I'm sorry to say that due to a severe illness that Wattie can't continue with the tour. He will be in hospital for at least a week. Thanks for all the get well messages. Much appreciated. Regards The Exploited."

According to a Portuguese website, Wattie Buchan suffered a heart attack, now confirmed officially by their label Nuclear Blast Records. The band will stop all activities till May 2014. Hopefully Wattie Buchan can recover from this and come back soon.
