This is the first time I've noticed how awful quality Soundcloud sounds on this website Massive production, really looking forward to this release now

What the F man? Why are so many guys bitching about the artwork? At least Seth is doing that inspires him. So many bands have to get out the artwork that their labels allow them to. Anyway, this is not about the cover, it's about the kewlness of Septicflesh gifting us with another album! Wooooh!

16.04.2014 - 05:14 Written by Alex F on 16.04.2014 at 03:42 I dunno about overrated but certainly this track is somewhat dull and a little over indulgent with the orchestra, but has it's moment I guess saw Septicflesh live last year with Goatwhore/Inquisition and they put on one hell of a show.. Granted this is harkening a little back to their older stuff, of which I am not a huge fan. Hopefully some of the other tracks are a little harder-edged.

As I said, it's part of the whole experience, so I might as well spend my money on something that pleases me aurally and visually. I still enjoy Communion actually. So I'll definitely find time to listen to this new album when it's out.

Gaah, why people stressing over artwork? It's the music the band has released it, try to enjoy that. Why people whine other than music? You enjoy the song, you write that about it. Ultimately, it'll be the music that'll force you to buy the record not an artwork, right? Anyway, we know the work of Seth(Joe has already mentioned it), so let's give a huge fuck to artwork/logo and concentrate on this new song and new record.

Account deleted Written by Cynic Metalhead on 16.04.2014 at 13:34 Probably because Septic Flesh's music is so middle-of-the road that it's hard to say anything about it other than "It's ok, nothing more" whereas there's two (shockingly awful) pieces of artwork here to dissect. It's not like it's off topic either so if people want to discuss the art then that's their right. What I don't understand is the people moaning about the people talking about the art. Now that's a waste of space, and ironic.

16.04.2014 - 14:03 Written by [user id=4365] on 16.04.2014 at 13:41 I'm not against people who critique arts but i'm against of those who take too much stress over particular artwork(which isn't even reliable in any of the album page). That not only goes offtopic but it kills the mood of discussing (bands)music(like here, half of the comments is about Seth work which we all have bitched about tons of time). Let people talk about music in majority, while in minority other assets(as i said art/artist/logo/cuppish tracklisting etc) could be discussed

Account deleted Written by Cynic Metalhead on 16.04.2014 at 14:03 I don't see the issue with constantly critiquing an awful artist. Hell, maybe if enough people do so people will stop getting him to do their artwork. You also seem to be under the misapprehension that by talking about the art it stops people talking about the music. Threads have the ability to hold more than one conversation at a time. If people aren't talking about the music then that's probably because it's not worth talking about. I'm not going to be held responsible for people that seem more interested in telling me what they don't think I should be doing - which bogs down the thread more than a discussion on the artwork - instead of actually doing the things which they' are themselves preaching, i.e. discussing the music.

Totally fine. But, you've seen people following jumping on bandwagon where they see "okay, he's started out bashing art, I'll follow it up 'cause I couldn't care less for music" which is quite equally bogging too. Not blaming you of course but it's becomes quite narking when people out of the way starts following up and ultimately crashes down to inconsequential topics. It propels people to look over the music and start concentrating on other things. I believe they're are many of here who first check out the comments and then click on streaming track(depends on person and it's not me!).

I like this song even tho I don't have a coup a coeur as I had with "Vampire from Nazareth" but I'm still confident in this album. To me Seth's art is fine, if not amazing.

Interesting album cover. Looks like a radiological clinic meets an abattoir in someone's bathroom. But I'm sure there's something deep and meaningful to it that I'm not understanding. The song is actually interesting to me, certainly has some unexpected twists.

Good song. Hopefully this new album will be better than the previous one, which wasn't bad but didn't impress me at all.

So pretty much what I expected. They can't write a decent riff to save their life, and again the orchestral elements are just there for the sake of making the whole thing sound majestic; the compositions are laughably simplistic. It's all style over substance. Props on the production, it sounds more gritty this time. That's a matter of preference though.

27.04.2014 - 06:02 Written by [user id=4365] on 16.04.2014 at 20:42 that just about sums it up though. A lot of the time I see metal cover artwork I don't like and feel a slight sliver of remorse because I can see there is at least effort behind it, but this Septicflesh guy is in a league of his own for cranking out unjustifiably dull stuff.

I was pleasantly surprised by the intensity of this track but this is worth no more than a 6.5. That generic riff at 0:37 which takes up 1/3 of the entire song is a big let down. They even tried to bulk it up with some half-assed orchestrations thrown in towards the end of that riff - in fact 90% of the orchestrations throughout the song felt that way. The transitions at 1:32 and 2:02 were horribly executed, even when taken in context as an conceptual abruptness. Not to mention that outrageous outro that a run-of-the-mill metalcore band would be capable of writing. Ok, maybe I'm in a foul mood, but I don't like the direction the band is headed...

11.05.2014 - 10:34 Written by LeKiwi on 11.05.2014 at 04:02 Apart from generic riffs, shallow drumming, scratchy atmosphere and playing around with production nappies, this song is complete yawn-inducing. I don't know but I might not be enjoying this disc when it comes out. Bad start. I hope other tracks could do the justice but if anything by this tracks goes by....it'll be freakin' letdown.

I don't think even my Sennheisers can handle everything going on in this song. Well. I for one like it. It's not as passionate as Communion but it still sounds enjoyable to me. I'll likely like this album.
