Haha. No, why would I? As I said I'm not starstruck. Had the chance last spring to get a pic with Karl Sanders when Nile played in town but didn't ask him
You're kidding! There is no thread on Van Halen? I bought all of their albums ages ago and recently ripped them all onto my external hard drive. Today has been Van Halen Day for me! I think that there was a thread on them in the old Metalstorm, but whatever.
Van Halen are a very innovative band. Without Eddie's distinctive virtuoso style of guitar playing, there wouldn't have spanned all the guitar vitruosos that were inspired to pick up a guitar and play simply because Eddie's guitar playing caused quite the riot back in the day. David Lee Roth used to tell Eddie that he should play with his back to the audience so that people in the audience didn't rip off his playing technique!
They're all about good time fun music about getting into trouble, loving hard, living fast, all of that good stuff. Based was based around the outgoing and almost flamboyant front man David Lee Roth. If anything, Van Halen has a vocalist problem; the core members just can't get along with a vocalist for many years because personal problems always arise. Michael Anthony has recently left the band, so it might be curtains for the band...
In Eddie's case though funds might be running dry from decreased sales in Van Halen record sales and merch...also, no touring...so sure, why not sue for ridiculous reasons and try and make some cash....
When I saw a picture of that shoe I actually did immediately think of Eddie's guitar. Not joking btw.
Me as well....still, its no reason to sue anybody. Then again, I guess if your going to sue somebody Nike wouldn't be the most underhanded place to start.
i hope he loses and cries in a corner of his house every night because of it
That's the problem...Eddie IS pretty depressed for some reason and sits in his house and apparently does a lot of nothing...maybe a bit of crying who knows...
Hard. I love both the debut, 1984 and Balance. If you put a gun into my face and force me to select just one, I think it would be the debut, van halen.
Their debut is amazing. One of my favorite rock albums.
II isn't as good but Women And CHildren First and Fair Warning are right up there again. Shame they went downhill after that and totally lost the plot.

I heard many songs off these album, but I still have to listen to them in their entirety.
Van Halen is one of the greatest in rock music, although I'm not a big fan of the band, still I recognize their value. Admire two or three albums and the last album is solid 8/10.
