It hasn't been an easy year neither for Eluveitie fans nor the Eluveitie camp, with three key members having left the band, also leaving Chrigel Glanzmann and friends looking to regroup. Now they have finally announced the first permanent member to join the band and it is Alain Ackermann (ex-Suborned), who will be the man behind the drumset, after a fruitful spell with the band onstage these past few months.

The band arranged the first real-time Q&A session with Ackermann, and it will happen on December 18th via the band's official Facebook page.

Eluveitie are very excited to introduce Ackermann as their new drummer, and have unleashed the following announcement: "We are extremely excited to reveal the first member of the future Eluveitie line-up tonight and introduce to you our new drummer! Please welcome Alain Ackermann to the Eluveitie family! We couldn't be happier and feel deeply grateful to have found such an incredibly talented musician! But we will not detain you long now with a long speech... go and check Alain Ackermann out yourself!"

On January 6th, 2017, Eluveitie will play live with their entire new line-up at the exclusive Eluvetie & Friends Festival, where they will meet giant powerhouse bands such as Vader, Sodom and Varg among others. The festival will happen at the open-air venue of Z7 in Pratteln, Switzerland. You can get your hands on a ticket at this location.
