Anton Kabanen left the band, the last album failed to move me at all, and I thought I had grown tired of Battle Beast. When I learned that they were playing seven of these ten songs on tour, I knew that something had to be up. Turns out they had every reason to be that confident in Bringer Of Pain, which is in my eyes the most consistent and natural-sounding album Battle Beast has ever released.

Bad English

Straight To The Heart, King For A Day and Bastard Son Of Odin are best songs into this one, descend melodic pop rock from 80's I would say, all those 80's mtv dancing chicks if they would put a bit metal and heavier guitar sound into music, it would be equal as this

This is where Battle Beast started to slip, in my opinion at least. It's pop alright, and half decent at that. But the novelty wears off damn quickly after listening to these songs few times through, since there isn't really any deeper message or personality to begin with. At worst the lyrics are once again just insultingly stupid, so that won't help either.

All in all, it's not that good in the long run, but they have managed to make a lot worse stuff, so I guess it's somewhat passable if you like this kind of whatever-metal.

You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like!
