I can understand those having problems with the way this album release went, even though I'm totally ok with it. Spending money to get cool stuff, that's pretty much what we do on a daily basis, and Jari creates really great stuff!

But why do you say it's "not gonna be very good" ? I mean, we only got a few samples, and they sound very good to me. Jari being an ass doesn't mean he can't write awesome music anymore right ? I'm actually really looking forward to that album.

2) Well I just said that because I don't like this style of music, the whole highly produced style of melodic death with power metal influences... It just comes off as cheesy to me. And no, if Jari is an ass (which I'm not saying he is here, even though I do think he's a jerk), it doesn't effect the music. I mean look at fucking Niklas Kvartforth!

I will give it a spin, for sure. Have never been a super fan of Jari though.

It's a great idea. He raised a lot more than he hoped. Which proves that demand for new Wintersun music is huge.

Well there are many that agree with me in what I said before, and yes, even if it is a good idea, I think once they reached their goal they shouldn't have kept going.

Really ? I'm not even a hater of this guy but after all the shit this dude pulled off one would think that at least he put some effort in this album, but clearly isnt the case

Songs with more than 10 minutes with less riffs than a Rotten Sound 50 seconds song, lazy ass guitar work, barely have solos, overdone arrangements that can't build a bit of atmosphere to save its life and the songs structure overall just plain lazy

With all of Jari's drama aside, i'm giving it a listen and it sounds great. Whether it holds up to the s/t album or Time I, it's too early to say. I don't think it's AOTY though, and it doesn't give me the same goosebumps I had when I heard Time I for the first time. It sounds very different to their first 2 albums, but I'm not gonna lie, it's still good, there's nothing wrong in what i'm hearing.
