I like the cover art. Much better than previous two with uninspiring generic dragons... Let's wait for the music.

The cover art is pretty neat, at least it's less repetitive than the other "artist" who uses the same colour palette on their artwork (blue/yellow/black/yellow things like that)

Without Gillan, they managed fine, especially with Hughes and Coverdale. As for the music they did after Blackmore left, there's plenty of great stuff especially on Purpendicular, Abandon and Now What.

Decent cover art, bad song titles. Dark Wings of Steel was bad, Into The Legend was decent, and Legendary Years was crap, no way of knowing how this one will turn out. I want to be optimistic but i dont see the reason why.

Actually this is the first time in years that I'm excited about a Rhapsody release (last time being LT's Ascending to Infinity). DWoS, ItL and Prometheus didn't have a solid idea behind them, like a concept story provides. Not to say those albums were bad (I'm seriously starting to think that my ignoring of DWoS was a mistake when I listen to it on youtube), but part of the magic of Rhapsody is being immersed in an epic fantasy tale. I know it's an entirely different band, but there's too many factors that seem to point at this release being worth it.

Deep Purple being called "shit" on a Rhapsody thread (of all places) is rather funny.
No offense...

Bro, Prometheus is a work of art, nothing will change that.

I like Prometheus, but it's pretty clear that Luca isn't experiencing the same hunger as in his early days. It's as if the fire has gone out, it's a bit too mellow lately. I'm not saying this cheaply, it's just the impression I have which is enforced by the fact that he put his incarnation of Rhapsody on hold in favor of more pop oriented affairs (the good man mentioned Adele as an inspiration).
Just listen to the entire Prometheus album with the Riot cover bonus track at the end. It's a way more "metal" affair at the end of a synth heavy album.
