I love the top three! I haven't listened to the last three though... (I would've put Metal Church in there personally)

Well Psalm 9 is a classic traditional Doom album, considered an essential in the genre. See You In Hell is an underrated album from underrated Heavy Metal band Grim Reaper who had the rotten luck of just missing the NWOBHM movement and subsequently becoming a punching bag for esteemed music critics Beavis & Butthead. Bathory is pure raw, unpolished 1st Wave Black Metal and arguably the most extreme album of the year, it just barely made the cut over Don't Break the Oath... Maybe Metal Church will push it out when I finally hear the whole thing but at the moment I've still only heard the first two tracks.

Thanks for the explanations! I guess I'll have to check those albums out.

By the way, I've made a new list about my favorite album opening songs. Could you check it out and tell me what you think?
