I have been disappointed by every album since Monolith by them, but somehow I feel hopeful for this one. Something about the song titles and the cover art.

I didn't know these guy are to release new music, great news, I enjoy this band quite a bit. I'm looking forward to listening to this!

I'm not a big fan of the cover art to be honest. I prefer their colorful album covers. I hope the music is better than the art.

Not what I expected based on Garden Of Storms, but on first listens I digging it quite a bit - will need a bit of time to get used to it, but I'm getting Ghost Brigade and Amorphis vibes in a couple of places, which I didn't expect

Solid album, it needs some more listens, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.

NO I did but even cd and fan base band could have more as they have now, when they started they were super cool. Enjoyed a lot their debut

All their albums are worth checking out, must listen IMHO.

First time I listened to this album, I was like "What, Ihsahn joined In Mourning?"
But glad they are trying to do something new here. Garden of Storms and Afterglow were just rehashing old material ad nauseam.

Better than last two

Melodeath album of the year for me. "At The Behest of Night" and "Beyond Thunder" are fantastic. Very strong release.

Surprise of the year for me as I had kinda given up on them after the last two meh albums.

This is a good album, but not their most memorable imo. I'm getting a close Amorphis vibe from this, which is good, the songwriting is very good, and the production is top notch, but it doesn't exite me.

They are consistent, I agree, but consistent enough to maintain the same standards and tunes. Album after album, its the same feel good progressive melodeath. Track one till end, it just flies in one mode. Feeling like more good for background music.

This is a lot more melodic than I expected. Love the riff in beyond thunder.

This album is left in my office for years without ever managing to spin it from start to end. In my opinion it is really far away from the quality of all the other albums of this band. I was surprised of how bad I found it. There was only one mediocre riff in the whole album (in "Thornwalker") and nothing else to remember. Unbelievable that I am the only one that treated this album this way, but ok it may just be my likings.

Now that you mention it, I have no memory of listening to this album but I definitely did at some point. Apparently I'm due for a re-visit.
