Really? Not even the Emperor or Stratovarius ones? Thought they were pretty much universal.
Ulver has been on my listen to pile for like a decade now lol, eventually I swear I’ll finally get to their BM albums. Thanks for the recommendations.

I don't really care about Emperor, and I've never listened to Stratovarius since I don't really like power metal all that much

Anthems to the Welkin At Dusk is kind of growing on me. The only song I know from Stratovarius is "Black Diamond", and I liked it. Maybe I need to check out the rest of that Visions album?

Also, Dimmu Borgir and Destroyer 666 are on my to-do list

Another great year for the Norwegian black metal scene with a special appreciation for adding Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk , Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, and Under The Sign Of Hell.

Visions isn’t my favourite Stratovarius album of the ones I have heard but it does seem to be everyone else’s and I do think it’s really good. Definitely worth a listen.

Deströyer 666 are my city’s pride, Unchain The Wolves and Phoenix Rising are especially awesome, check them out. The latter is a bit more polished.
