Wintersun - Part Ways With Guitarist
Finnish power metal ensemble Wintersun have parted ways with (live) second guitarist Asim Searah, who has been part of the band for the past five years.
Wintersun states: "We have decided to part ways with our 2nd guitarist Asim Searah, who has been with us as a session guitarist since 2017. We shared good times on and off the stage, but we didn't see eye to eye on some things and we weren't happy with everything behind the scenes. So after careful consideration we think this decision is best for everyone. We wish Asim all the best in all his future endeavors!"
Here's a short statement from Asim: "What a ride these past 5 years have been. From the bottom of my heart I would like to thank all the fans around the world. YOU ROCK! See you all soon."

Sad music plays in the background. Eventually someone from inside brings out a raincoat and a warm drink. Zoom in on the tears forming in his disappointed eyes.

I honestly wish them well and hopefully a nice ego deflation, but holy f*ck it would be best if they just disband and Jari learns his way back to being a musician instead of a fraud.

I would assume Asim didn't like how they aren't making music OR touring, I didn't see any upcoming shows listed anywhere. What's the point in sticking around if neither is going to happen any Time soon? I've loved Jari's music for a long long Time but it has been clear for at least half of that Time that he is just making excuses and exaggerating how hard it would be to make new music. You could click on almost any other band on this site and see less Time wasted.

Reminder that it was back in 2012 Wintersun announced Time would be split into 2 albums, due to being 80 minutes. That means the album was mostly complete 10 years ago. If you spend 10 years polishing something, is there going to be anything left? Has the fist sized pearl been reduced to a marble in Jari's hand?
