I liked it. They still sound like Slayer, there's no doubt. With tons of cool riffs and some ace solos...

I don't know why but i think that they'll do again something decent as CI... and i DONT want that..

Not that really waiting for the new album. but I have my tickets for their show in the netherlands.

"World Painted Blood", the title track of Slayer's new album is available for streaming on the band's official MySpace.

Not excited about the title track.

Whole things leaked and it's sounding great with plenty of good riffs and hateful lyrics which is what you've come to expect from them, as they rarely disappoint (with the exception of God Hates us All which I wasn't too keen on) and just stick to the same tried and tested formula.

I'll definately be making a point of buying this when it's out!

Has anyone bought the original yet??

I've now heard the album, and have to say, it is very good! Were "Christ Illusion" was like "Seasons In The Abyss" mixed with "God Hates Us All", "World Painted Blood" sounds like a fusion of "Reign In Blood" with "Diabolus In Musica". "Unit 731", "Snuff", "Public Display Of Dismemberment" and "Psychopathy Red" sounds very like the RIB type stuff. "Playing With Dolls" and "Beauty Through Order" have a sound reminiscent of DIM.

The album contains 11 songs, though apparently 14 were recorded for it. The title of only one of those songs is known. Part of a Kerry King song called "Atrocity Vendor" is meant to feature in the "Playing With Dolls" DVD that comes with the deluxe edition of the new album. I really hope that, and the other 2 unreleased songs will surface at some point.

We have no cd shops here nor anything that orders 'original' cd you know.. and ordering it via internet or mail or whatever would cost me too much money (and for example would delay my new amp and pedal for a year ), so unfortunately i canot buy original cd's , im a pirate whore haha

Ive listened the leaked album already, (listening even right now ) its EPIC!!, and the lyrics fascinate me insanely!!! i masturbate on slayers texts :$

New album is pretty good in my opinion. Better than Christ Illusion definitely.

Not at all !!! cuz i has OXICLEAN !!!

Just bought limited edition yesterday and it fucking rules one of the best slayer works (in my opinion) ... if you are a metal fan its a must have!

The album dissapoints until now. I miss an overwhelming production and only a few songs are convincing....

My rate: 6,5/10

New album cant amazing me...

I can't find a flaw on this record, they've uploaded it to their myspace, and they added a video called "Playing With Dolls" which is actually a story of a serial killer (with songs of the new album of course!). My fav. tracks are "Not Of This God", "Psychopathy Red" and "World Painted Blood". Take that "Death Magnetic" and "Endgame"

So, because they've released ten albums and made a million of concerts I need to find the new album awesome?

No way, this is a mediocre Thrash Metal album. I refuse to worship it just because it is Slayer! There are much better Thrash Metal bands nowadays, as there are much better Slayer albums.... I am a fan of Slayer since their very first album, so many years ago and if I compare just for example the production than I can easily say that the old albums were far better produced than the new one... And the songs; they were much better too!

In my opinion Slayer didn't work too hard on this CD,it's a CD on "automatic pilote", nothing more and nothing less.

Compare with the new Megadeth; that's a masterpiece!
