I have playlists of all genres, which I make as a hobby and I rarely listen to (I always prefer to listen to full albums), but I still keep on adding more material when I feel like it. I didn't add anything from this album. The reason is simple: all the songs are really good and it would be necessary to add them all, and clearly that would defeat the purpose of having a playlist.

Well, yes, I really liked this album, although in my personal opinion Two Sides Of A Coin is slightly better. I think the missing factor in Thorns is experimentation and spontaneity. What do I mean? Well, on their debut, it is possible to hear out-of-thrash moments; I swore I was listening to a power metal band for several seconds in one of their songs, and that was cool. I'm not really a power metal fan, but that's not the point - the point is that it is nice to be surprised now and then with some short passage that sounds different from what one would expect. This release is more straightforward thrash, with some Anthrax influence (but c'mon, it is a '92 thrash album; it would be impossible not to associate it with at least one of the Big 4 or any other early thrash band). It sounds really fresh and it will make you forget about work or any other thing you don't wanna be thinking about. It is not an angry album, so if you're looking for something really aggressive, you won't find it here (some singer said that in one of his songs).

Like I said before, there are no weak songs, the length is just perfect, and there aren't even three seconds of irrelevant music or over-repeated chorus. These guys were only trying to make good, fast, and fun music without trying to fit into anyone's standards, and they succeeded.
