I don't know why bands get together, I mean is there's really a point? Make money? Be famous? Be respected? I don't know what's the situation here, but I hope that Ingurgitation Oblivion doesn't have as a goal the aftermentioned aspirations, because, frankly, I don't see them being famous or earning much money anyway.
Do you think I'm being harsh here? Wait and keep reading please, because I'm in a bad mood today and I was waiting a bad Demo like this to unleash all my fury, watch out! I'm an angry reviewer with a computer, and I'm not afraid to use it!
Let's keep things short and concise here, I don't want to be a bully here, Ingurgitation Oblivion must be the 846'348,204th band playing this kind of Death Metal to begin with, what kind of Death Metal? Well, fast riffs, fast drums, fast bass, and undecipherable growls, the same 'ol equation that many unoriginal bands have been used since the dawn of Death Metal back in the eighties.
The Demo, Ep or whatever this is, begins with an intro, a pretty useless one, and here goes another rant, why the hell bands this days are putting such useless intros in their albums? It's a kind of trend going on in the scene or something, and please don't give me the crap of "to put the listener in the mood" because I don't buy it, usually this intros are short and pure noises or soundscapes or whatever, useless.
"Spiralling Out Of The World" is a BAD song, and not bad in the good sense, is bad in the Michael Jackson way (yes, you remember that song), the singer talks instead of singing, is like hearing a monologue from the Cookie Monster, besides that, the song title is wrong, since Spiraling is wrote with 1 L, and not with 2.
Let's keep bringing those punchlines baby that I'm on a streak here, in second song, "Veil Of Perception" the band finally did something right, they wrote the name correctly, although my perception of a good song was ruined by those noises.
The title song, "Poetry Of The Flesh" actually had some good breaks, so I'll leave that one alone? for now. After 15 minutes of pure "Poetry" the final song approached, "Deconstructed Creature" I was disappointed, because the song should have called "Deconstructed Demo", but that was their choice, so be it.
Wow, this was liberating right? I feel like new! As a disclaimer note, the fact that I'm pissed off today didn't affected my review, this Demo is bad today tomorrow and the day after that, as a matter of fact, if the civilization collapses and alien archeologists found this demo buried under the ice a thousand years from now, their first impression is going to be "wow this is bad, humans didn't know how to make Heavy Metal right?" let's pray for another outcome, although if they find only the artwork is fine, because the cover is pretty nice.
As my final words, I'll say that I don't see much future to Ingurgitation Oblivion, but I sense great amounts of oblivion that's for sure.
