A Few Goodies Not Featured On MS

Not complaining that these bands are not on MS, just mentioning a few albums that, in my humble opinion, deserve attention. Some of these are possibly rather obscure music I've come across, lucky for me I guess.

1. Collapse - The Sleep In Me
(2017) - a sort of instrumental progressive metal, but there's some post rock in there
2. Distant Dream - It All Starts From Pieces
(2017) - instrumental djenty post rock, catchy yet complex and competent
3. Psyco Drama - Bent
(1997) - US heavy/power, their first album is influenced by Queensryche, this one not so much
4. Soul Cages - Soul Cages
(1994) - German progressive metal
5. TunnelVision - Tomorrow
(2002) - prog-power from Finland, catchy but competent
6. Freedom Hawk - Into Your Mind
(2015) - successfully cloning Black Sabbath
7. 7 Days - The Weight of the World
(2006) - proggish power metal from Sweden, catchy
8. Stolen Memories - Paradox
(2017) - prog-power from France
9. Seventh Sign - Perpetual Destiny
(1996) - proggish US Power
10. Fifth Season - Journey Through An Open Mind
(1997) - progressive metal from UK
11. Arlon - Mimetic Desires
(2015) - these guys sound a bit like Riverside, but good stuff
12. The Quiet Room - Introspect
(1997) - solid progressive metal debut, they have 2 albums, the second one is not as good
13. Frontal Cortex - Passage
(2018) - Riverside meets Tool, fans of Soen will enjoy this
14. Space Is Not Empty - The W.D. Experience
(2016) - another djent album I enjoy
15. AudioPlastik - In The Head Of A Maniac
(2015) - prog-rock/metal, keyboardist of Threshold is in here.
16. Universe Effects - Desolation
(2018) - Canadian progressive metal, a pleasant surprise.
17. Aching Beauty - L'Ultima Ora
(2004) - solid progressive metal from France, they did this album and vanished, a shame.
18. Ghostbound - All Is Phantom
(2018) - a mix of post rock, shoegaze, prog rock, a little bit of post black.
19. Secret Silence - Escape From Reality
1996 - little known progressive metal band from Germany
20. Power of Omens - Eyes of the Oracle
1998 - small progressive metal band from the US, technical, yet melodic, which makes me think these musicians are influenced by the likes of Watchtower and Cynic, their vocalist sounds like Geoff Tate, they're also influenced by Fates Warning
21. Buddy Lackey - The Strange Mind Of Buddy Lackey
1993 - for Psychotic Waltz fans a must listen, as well as fans of progressive metal, hard'n'heavy.
22. Innerchaos - Different Stories
2005 - this obscure (for me at least) French progressive metal is worth listening because it's not the DT cloning style, love the guitar work especially.
23. Madsword - The Global Village
2000 - Italian progressive metal, a mix of DT, Quensryche and Fates Warning, but it's done well.
24. Slander - Careless Talk Costs Lives
1991 - UK heavy metal band, catchy and competent, great vocals.
25. Burnclear - Lost for Life
2016 - catchy Finnish power metal, proggish, that's why I like it I guess, good vocals.
26. Lemur Voice - Insights
1996 - excellent progressive metal from the Netherlands
27. Parish - Envision
1995 - excellent US Power
28. Manitou - Entrance - 1995 - Norwegian band, for fans of Fates Warning, Zero Hour, technical, skilled musicians, the vocalist will later join Spiral Architect.
29. Altura - Mercy
1996 - excellent US progressive metal, great technical musicianship and a good vocalist.
30. Matraz - Gritare
2004 - excellent progressive metal from Chile, female fronted, good vocals, must listen I say for any fans of the genre.
31. House Of Spirits - Turn The Tide
1994 - German progressive metal, Queensryche influences, competent musicianship
32. Secrecy - Art in Motion
1990 - again German progressive metal, a bit ahead of their time, for fans of Psychotic Waltz and Fates Warning.
33. Jester's March - Beyond
1991 - German progressive metal, influenced by US Power, which is both strange and funny.
34. Siam - The Language Of Menace
1994 - catchy heavy metal from UK, a US power feel, very good vocals.
35. Vigilante - Edge of Time
1999 - excellent band from Japan, will please listeners of heavy, US Power and progressive metal, quite skilled musicians.
36. Eniac Requiem - Space Eternal Void
1998 - prog-power from the US, they did one album and disbanded, their drummer would join Thought Chamber or so I read, for fans of Symphony X and 90s Dream Theater.
37. Toxic Smile - RetroTox Forte
2004 - great progressive metal from Germany, like Sieges Even, makes me wonder why they did not get bigger.
38. Atmosfear - Inside The Atmosphere
2003 - German progressive metal, well done, nice flowing, skilled musicians
39. Enola Gay - F.O.T.H
1995 - German heavy/power, a bit groovy, solid songwriting a great vocalist.

Can you try to format the list a bit better? For example the first one should be formatted like:

Umpfel | As The Waters Cover The Sea | (2019) - could have mentioned their previous album, it's heavier, this is a great blend of prog-rock and progressive metal.

Generally list entries should be formatted like Band | Album | Description, with | in between each, album and band names with every word having its first letter capitalized. Also the items are indexed automatically, so no need to add "1." and "2." manually.

Thanks

it does not matter, none of these bands are on MS, linking won't work.
I just wanted to mention some albums that I find great for anyone interested. That's why I made little comments.

next list is gonna look better...

It does matter, even if the bands aren't featured, because they might be in the future

Don't mind me, I'm only here to find some rest from the exhausting Mgła thread...

Thanks for mentioning Mick Moss' Sleeping Pulse, I wasn't even aware of his side project.
Genre-wise not necessarily my cup of tea, but this guy is gifted by such a beautiful and soothing voice that he can turn almost any musical environment into my temporary comfort zone.

Sargant Fury not on PA. It's Andrew MacDermott on vocals, any band he's been in is worth giving a chance, a listen.

I have deleted 7 albums so far, those bands were added.

I will delete all entries that have been added since I updated this list.

No worries, I'm glad some of these bands have been added.

New addition - Manitou from Norway, technical heavy/prog, in the style of the early Fates Warning albums with Ray Alder, will please listeners that enjoy technical metal. Their vocalist will join Spiral Architect.

There is a band here on MS called Manitou but it's a band from Finland. So I intentionally did not use the "|" symbol because it lists the wrong band.

New addition
Secrecy - short lived German band, released two albums and disappeared, nevertheless they played an excellent progressive metal, in the vein of Psychotic Waltz, Fates Warning. As i was listening to them, I wondered how come they did not become BIGGER, but hey...

A recommendation for you to check out is A.N.D. - Madmans Overture. It's a obscure british band that were active in the early 90's. It's very melodic with a dramatic approach, reminds me a lot of Jester's March. Here's the album if you want go give a listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzFeq9u6Wrs&t=1128s&ab_channel=RF
