I have added Jess and the Ancient Ones, Caligula’s Horse and Becoming the Archetype to the list.

Currently, I am thinking about the other examples. They are interesting and not wrong, but I have to think about how to keep the list focused. Persefone may be not restricted to Homer`s work, because she is very present in Greek mythology in general. Marduk, Absu and Tiamat are also interesting suggestions with Enūma Eliš, the Babylonian creation text, as text reference. However, they might also be too important figures in their mythological context for just one text. Therefore, I hesitate to include them in the list for the same reasons I do not include the Satan from the Bible. As you have seen, I did include Becoming The Archetype, as this refers to a term from the Bible, which is more literature related and less mythology.
In case I start a (pagan) mythology list on MS, I will cite your suggestions.

There are two metal bands named Macbeth (W. Shakespeare). One is gothic metal from Italy, the other German heavy metal. I only know the Italian one, pretty decent.

"Caliban is a wild creature… crude, brutal and untamable. These are at least the characteristics that convinced us of the name “Caliban” back then. Describes the music quite well."

As we discovered bands inspired by W. Shakespeare, there is a very good British prog band named Twelfth Night. First two albums especially are excellent.
