Octomore is Bruichladdich's brand where they experiement with extremly peated whisky. A bottle usually is at least around €150. Totally worth it though
Laphroaig 15 was brilliant and at a good cost. until thye discontinued it to make more meh 10. Ardbeg is great, had a special bottle tucked away for groomsmen at my wedding.

There is some great storytelling in the lyric content on this album, which is what I like most about it, music wise it's nothing special, some pretty cool riffs, with some fun and catchy moments. "The Christmas Truce" is probably the song that captured me the most, it was a great emotional song, and the vocals by Floor Jansen at the end was a nice surprise, which made it better, but no other songs managed to wow me as much. Unfortunately I have never been a fan of the vocals from this band either.
Are there some unknowns ar story, yes there is, those maybe never will die, but band inspiration write music can burn out, maybe not a case, but its not their best either.

I stand whit Ukraine and Israel. They have right to defend own citizens.

Yes, but they always wanted to do album about WW1 and I think they are so hyped about that war that they wanted to do just one more before changeing concept to something else. Sadly full potencial of material was used for TGW. For me TWTEAW is a great album, because I like their style, but IMO if they write material about other theme it could be more metal and energetic.
I enjoyed "Stormtroopers", "Dreadnought" and "The Valley of Death" more than the rest. Some tasty guitar solos as usual.
Difference of taste I guess, but "Christmas truce", "The Unkillable Soldier" & "Race to the Sea" are my favorites.
Mostly because of their official video's which kind more or less impressed me (eventhough I don't like the arrogant smuck in the "The Unkillable Soldier" video).

"The best violence against one is the violence no one ever forgets.."
I liked this album but it feels a bit unnecessary seeing they already tackled this subject in the past, and the previous album is simply better. Christmas Truce is still the best song and I also enjoyed Hellfighters, Soldier of Heaven and Valley of Death.
Dreadnought in particular feels unnecessary seeing they have already Bismarck, probably one of their best songs. All it did for me was make me want to listen to Bismarck.
I hate to be a party pooper, but this sounds so over the top, that it resembles metal satire out of a Jim Breuer show...
Actually Jim Bruer released an album a few years ago, had Brian Johnson as a guest on one of the songs there.
Still better than any Sabaton I'm afraid.

I thought the two primary purposes for the internet were cat memes and overreactions.
Well, it doesn't seem to be the general opinion here, but this is clearly becoming my favourite Sabaton album since Heroes. I find it a bit darker, which is something I was really missing on the previous two which sounded a bit too "happy" for my liking. Hopefully they'll stay on that path now!
How ironic to release an album with that name during wartime.
it's not like the band came up with the name, WW1 was named "the war to end all wars", there was nothing like it, such a conflict did not exist before. WW1 was also named "the great war". And unfortunately the next WW was even greater.

Even for power metal standards this sounded a bit soft to me. But the songs are good and these guys are really passionate about war. Sarajevo the opening track is really good.
