The month May was lacking in concert attendance from my side. However, I did catch a one show that was happening very close to my home.

We here at Metal Storm pride ourselves in the metal that we live and breathe, and most importantly, write about. But there's a whole world out there aside from Satan-worshiping black metal and dragon-slaying power metal. Here's what we checked out this month.

Despite the convenient title, this is not a monthly weather report. It would be too predictable. However, the bands I saw live through a series of events this month were coming from a quite diverse spectrum of genres/sub-genres. It would have varied even more, if not for an unfortunate last-minute cancellation of a black metal gig featuring Grima and Ultar.

Today marks my third anniversary of being a Metal Storm user. I've now been delving for over five years in the metal universe, and I don't plan to stop anytime soon. In this article, I will present the albums that have influenced me the most these past two years since I published that first anniversary article.
