All great songs are either about love or the apocalypse in some way. Sometimes both.

Gonna review this for IO, got the promo a few weeks ago but only got around to listening in full today.

Fans of Assassination will definitely enjoy this, very similar synth driven, poppy sound. Definitely different in its own way though.... a bit heavier at points, and less jammy perhaps.
Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
You tell em that God's gonna cut em down

Metal Rambo
The cover art is taken from The Passion of Joan of Arc, a classic film from the late silent era. I must say, these guys have great taste when it comes to movies. Hopefully the actual record will be at least as good.
You've got a lot of guts. Let's see what they look like.

The similarities with Assassination are clear, but I found this to be obviously lesser to that record - there were moments that stood out as good, but overall I found it a bit underwhelming in comparison to its predecessor, particularly given the lack of a song at the level of Rolling Stone or Southern Gothic

Not as memorable as The Assassination of Julius Caesar, but still I will give it an 8/10 because is very enjoyable. I dig it on the first listen.
My highlights: Machine Guns and Peacock Feathers and A Thousand Cuts.

Good album with some good tunes. Hour of the Wolf and A Thousand Cuts are some of the cooler tracks.

Currently listening and I'm only four tracks in, but this already some of the best music I've heard all year. Either I need to listen to more music or - more likely - Ulver still totally fucking rule.
I am not nor have I ever been a musician or a member of a one-man band, especially a band that has a name that starts with "D".
