Ok, a decade and a half, millions of dollars, multiple band members and associated musicians input - ignoring these stats is a hard thing to do while approaching this album, but let's give it a shot. Let's keep in mind the iconic figures that were once part of this band are long gone. This is no longer Slash, Duff, and Izzy's band, this is Axl's album - like it or not. So as a disclaimer I'm looking at this album as a stand-alone project, avoiding any comparisons to what once was.

Expected more but not bad n e way.

IMO without Slash and Duff, Guns N' Roses won't be like before at all.

Rating: 8 If you can but it cheap then do.

by it's own merits it's fine enough. as GnR, yeah it's just Axel and some big names at his disposal like Buckethead.

nice album though, good sound, nice tunes, easy going, just like our kind music was 20 years ago.

Rating: 9 I like Chinese Democracy, but it's not a perfect album.I gave it an 8 because I love some of the songs, but it's not even close to the great 80's and 90's albums.:metal:

Rating: 8 I was never a GNR fan, not even of appetite for destruction. But i think this album is pretty cool. Chinese Democracy has some epic songs that in a normal situation would be considered amazing songs. Of course the difference of styles from the previous GNR and the new is huge.

I think it's a solid album with really great songs
Kuroboshi - 12.03.2013 at 16:25
Rating: 5 Has some nice passages, but kind of boring, with Axl's voice ruining the mood.
