?A Blue Fire" is the newest output by Nahui, a solo project of the Italian musician Luca Gianotti, and is his first album after two EPs. Apart from Luca we have Andrea Martella who helps him out with the drumming and Stefano Zanetti who takes over some of the guitar parts. Nahui is very difficult to pinpoint in the musical spectrum, but I think the description "dark/melancholic alternative rock" is probably the closest I can get. Influence-wise the only influences I can detect for sure are some touches of modern Anathema here and there. Some parts of the music are progressive, whilst others are rather simple. The vocals are very melancholic, yet the music is often quite uplifting. The general atmosphere is dark, yet in a friendly way. And all of this is delivered on a solid rock foundation. Read more ›› |
