Agreed, and it's also a great song! I wasn't sure how they'd fare without Udo, but the new guy was a great choice. His vocal style is perfect for Accept. xD

Just started listening to it now. xD "Beat The Bastards" is a fantastic opener. Definitely classic Accept! Mark Tornillo's voice fits perfectly with the band. Hope the rest of the album is this good!

Ive listened to the album 3 times now, and it's not perfect. But the fact they've been able to record any truly great Accept songs without Udo, is a big but welcome surprise. The title track, "Beat The Bastards", "Locked And Loaded", "Teutonic Terror", and "Pandemic", are just awesome examples of old school heavy metal. xD Maybe some of the longer, slower songs will grow on me, but right now they're the weak point of the album for me. "Time Machine" is the best of these though. Nice bonus track! <3

Eh, it was a standard hard rock/metal album for me, only more lively because of the production values, but it's modern rock production, so...
Nothing special for me.

Riffs are pretty good and I think each individual songs are good too, but somehow I just cannot get into it =/

Surprisingly good album... ''Beat the Bastards", "Locked and Loaded", "New World Comin'", "Time Machine"(bonus) and the title track are the highlights imo. It has its flaws though, mainly the lyrics that are a bit cheesy. But who cares? It's pure hard rockin metal from start to finish!

Better than I was expecting, but not particularly outstanding. Could have afforded to be three songs shorter, but a decent heavy metal album nonetheless.

I've listened to bits of this album(the first 4 tracks, and i knew tracks 2 and 3 beforehand) and it's FUCKING INCREDIBLE. gonna have to listen to it all one of these days even though it's so looooong.
edit: yup, pretty much the best album i've heard this year so far, even imo surpassing(only by a bit) Ironbound. not perfect though, it's a bit long and there are some tracks which can be classified as filler. still, an extremely solid album from start to finish.

This album is a Masterpiece, while bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden are experimenting with other Genres like Symphonic or Progressive Metal. It brings back the Old School Heavy Metal, telling Thrash, Power and other Metal genres, "hey we are still here, alive and stronger than ever!" songs like "Shades of Death" or the first single "Teutonic Terror" feels like out of the 80's, back then when Heavy Metal Ruled the world. Accept couldn't choose a better new singer than Mark Tornillo. This album have all the elements to be a future Classic, including it's Killer Ballad "Kill the pain".
These are IMO the Best Albums of the year so far:
1. Blood Of The Nations
2. Ironbound
3. Relentless Retribution

With just over a month remaining in the year, I'm willing to say this with absolute confidence that my mind will not sway. Accept - Blood of the Nations is the best metal album of the year.

Mike Tornillo's voice on here is incredible, but that's just about the only outstanding point on this album. overrated album is overrated.

While almost all old days great bands living a lie now, it was hard to believe that Accept was able to make these materials sound like the early 80's, yet did not copy anything from their previous works.
I rate this album a classic status ! 9+1(sincerity) = 10 !

I'm not complaining that Udo didn't come back. Tornillo brings a strong performance to Blood of Nations. His voice nicely resembles what I would imagine a metal Brian Johnson would sound like!

Give a try after long time, simply killer, better how Udo days, more heavyer one of heavyest albums , damn heavy when old timers like hmmmm Deep Purple, Krokus whatever goes softer Accept goes heavyer

Does anybody else think that the lyrical content and writing is a little shallow and lazy? I mean the subject matter is not very deep, thought provoking. These subjects in each song have been used many times before, and they are kind of cliche themes of metal. Also, what is up with Mark having to write rhyming lyrics in almost every song. Now come on, if you don't think that is a little bit like a teenager writing lyrics for his neighborhood metal band that practices in the basement then maybe you haven't been a teenager who wrote those kinds of lyrics yourself *blushes from embarassment*. I'm not ragging on Accept. I just saw them with Kreator, and both bands were really entertaining and put on a great show. It's just a medium-sized criticism I have about their music. On the other hand, they do have some really really killer riffs and grooves, and Mark's voice is very sharp, crisp just the way we like our metal "Rippers". Also, some of their better songs off of Blood of the Nations and Stalingrad create vividly painted imagery and atmospheres. Let me know what you guys think if you have an opinion about Accept with Mark Tornillo.

After thirteen years of absence from the music scene to fire again ..... This album is the best album of heavy metal history should take up ...... Wolf-Hoffmann, guitar and melody that made the show that still has words to say .... The album was a revolution in heavy metal ..... **Andy Sneap** had taken from the excellent album ....
**Andy Sneap** is the one of the best Producer and work with them as well as the achievements of Don.
