You know you like War and Pain
Really, the only technical Voivod I care for is Dimension Hatross. And it still pales in comparison to The Outer Limits.

Spun the whole thing last night. Twice. The production is something a little bit less desired but all in all a definite improvement over their last few releases. I don't hear a stand-out track, maybe Warchiac but at least the sound returned a bit to something like their Dimension Hatross release. I 'm giving this a 7.5-8.0 and prolly never spinning it again. It's just not memorable enough for me.
edit: This is the best I've heard Snake's voice since the early 90's, I wonder if he is sober? Anyone?

What? You are very generous if that's how you really feel.

What I meant was I have a lot of other stuff to listen to and if I play a Voivod record this falls behind the stuff from their earlier years.

bruh I tell you what that's not really that generous... Ignore the rating for a moment: "never spinning in again".... That's pretty harsh haha well to me it is anyways a lot of albums I see as 8/10ish I'll listen to many times.

Certainly their best album since 'The outer limits' for me.The riffs on here are really tight and solid for the most part, and make songs such as the title track, 'Kluskap O' Kom' and 'Resistance' all the more interesting to listen to. Really though this album is another example of how well Voivod has progressed over the years.

This is quite a surprise for me, I mean, I don't consider their previous two albums bad at all, but this one has something special, nothing superb or groundbreaking, but I found it very entertaining and enjoyable, not the best of the year, neither the worst, just a nice album that deserves to be listened at least a couple of times. Well done Voivod.

This album isn't bad by any means, but I wish it just had a little more bite. Everything is a little sleep inducing. The production is very soft, the guitar sound isn't very strong, the vocal attack is reserved and a little hypnotic. It's one of those albums where you put it on and 15 minutes in you aren't sure how you got where you are.

Nothing super interesting on Voivod's standards and when compared to other releases by other bands it sounds rather average material. I guess a Voivoder -- a devout worshipper of this band as a god -- will get some more out of the album than me; I must stick to truth, I can't sugar coat things when nobody is paying me for it. So listening to this album was a somewhat disappointing way to spend time and when Voivod doesn't deliver you would just prefer them playing some punk rock with lesser song length.
