23:05 - EMols86 Enjoyed Pyramaze - Melancholy Beast for sure, except for the horrible song called "Until We Fade Away", which reminds me why I don't like (most) power metal.
22:51 - EMols86 Solefald (their debut). Since I'm now checking out Pyramaze (as I said, first time I listen to power metal in years) I'll check your link (Chinese band) after that. :-) Can't believe I actually like Pyramaze...
22:45 - MechanisT The new Blood Red Throne is killer material.
22:45 - Dark†SymphonY What band you talking about Emols?
22:42 - EMols86 Ah that sucks. I listened to it and while I didn't like every aspect of it (some vocals annoyed me, especially at the end) overall I found it quite good.
22:38 - Dark†SymphonY EMols, I'll have a look at that band later, YouTube isn't working for me atm.

Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 28.11.2011 at 22:13 I actually think that this remix album will be a lot better than Illud.
Really? I personally could do without hearing the only good tracks on the album being industrialised (or made into techno) and made to sound very similar to atrocities like "Too Extreme!"...

For me there are NO good tracks on the latest Morbid Angel album, mediocre tracks at best.

I honestly believe you are underestimating the abilities of these artists since you are pretty much comparing their work to tracks like "Too Extreme!" which makes me think you probably don't have a lot of experience in the genres these people work with.
Most of those artists actually know what they are doing unlike Morbid Angel who can't make electronics worth a fuck.
I can easily bet that this will be better than the original album... I'm specially interested in Igorrr's work, that dude is a genius.

Not really, I just am not really a fan of electronic based music. A very small amount of it is good, but by and large I don't like it. So regardless of those artists' "abilities", I doubt I'll find much to like about them...
Written by Mr. Doctor on 28.11.2011 at 22:55 Regardless of that, you can't just compare their stuff to songs like Too Extreme, it doesn't make any justice at all.
Perhaps, perhaps not. It still doesn't change the fact that the remix album almost certainly won't be my cup of tea. If you like electronic based music, then you are in a better place to judge individual artists' talents in that genre. But it still doesn't mean I'm not allowed an opinion on that music.

My point was that what you said is basically the same thing as a person not into really into metal would have an idea that all the bands sound like st-anger.

Well, to be fair, most of the electronic based music I have heard has been very similar. And it's certainly a very rare thing, at least to my ears, that metal blends well with electronic music. I don't hate it all, some industrial is actually really good, like Ministry. But I think it is one of the hardest genres to make sound good, and stand out from the crowd. Though I will concede you're more well-versed in that genre than I am.
You know what would be a better idea than a techno remix album? An album where all the snare drums have been replaced with the *POIK* sound from the Dirty Potter series.
So now it seems like they want to ruin even the songs on the album that were actually quite decent.... geez lol
Naaah, What me my inside saying is....they'll cover up this album into their old MA stuff and bash all the fans out there who spits venomously, hated, get angry on such a controversial album and let them down. IT GONNA BE OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL POWER PACKAGE.....*Am i sounding weird?*..dunnoe...:)

Yes.
I am telling you IT GONNA BE OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL STUFF!! Revengeful album! (:
Obviously it's not going to be old school death metal. Look at the tracklist. It's a remix album. By industrial and techno artists. Do you really think they'd get involved with this just to release another Altars of Madness?
I know, chill.
I was kidding. You can tell by the way I said "can't wait for a remix". That thing is quite possibly the stupidest piece of crap I've ever heard, no remix can save that.
WFT ?! Are they going mad?!..
I'm shocked, who can say this is Morbid Angel who put on Altar of madness... They are going down step by step... holly shit
I'm going to listen to the album though. I thought that Van Halen's new album would be total crap, and I quite like it, maybe the same thing will happen with this.
Listening this via the stream, I gotta say that it's ALOT better than original... seriously, judging by the first few songs it actually is quite nice as backround music. Can't really recommend it for the most of the visitors of this forum, though, keeping in mind how pvre elitekvlt some seem to be.

I was part amused and part aroused by some of the girls in that clip (and the Japanese guy if I'm honest).

Agreed, if you're open to electronic music there are some nice tunes to had on this album. Contrary to Illud Divinum Insanus the industrial electronic parts are actually very well done. I still hope MA will make a proper metal album next time - because most of us will agree that is their strength - but having a mix album like this to go with it is a nice suprise for me.

Same here... also... let's be honest: Some people there had some pretty groovy moves!
I liked the girl that appeared twice with the japanese guy. She looked really hot.
