If that's where the sample's from then yeah, Christina Ricci should provide all the sobbing for this upcoming EP. Also, a video should be made for this EP (starring Ms. Ricci) in the same vein as the "Förtvivlan, Min Arvedel" video (the uncensored version, if they doesn't go without saying). That's a winning combo if I've ever thought of one haha.
Hmh... That Katatonia cover lacks the anxiety and depression the original version possesses. And what the hell, the chosen Kent track is a b-side (and for a good reason).
Because it sounds like B-side. There are about 100 better Kent tracks to choose from.

I really like that song though... but yeah... I can think of so many songs that are way better choices and that would fit Shining's style way more.

To be honest, it would have been great to see something truly adventurous like a cover of "Visslaren".
It' an EP though A full length with only covers on the other hand is indeed a bit boring though. Depends on the songs...
I wouldn't mind listening to Shining doing more covers of artists like Kent as long as they don't suck at it.
For my demons is really good song,i like it but the cover is exactly like the original nothing changed. kvanforth tries to sing like jonas, i think cover albums are waste of time
Terribly dissapointed with this one. The Kent and Imperiet cover is nowhere near to how I thought Kvarforth would interpret these bands. I'd much rather listen to the original songs.
Yeah, this album is very pointless. Making covers just to show people "hey I listen to pop and can perform it too!" doesn't make for very interesting listening. The covers aren't bad, but they add no new dimensions to the tracks. If you're going to record cover songs (as opposed to warming the crowd up live), you should make them your own.
I seriously doubt lots of girls are gonna get hurt, considering they picked three of the pussiest girl bands and made a bunch of toothless fanboy covers of their songs. Unless they mean they're going to lure lots of girls backstage with this album and hurt them there.
