I'd place impetuous ritual above this, which is my second most favorite DM record of year up to now. Unfortunately, 2014 is not like 2013 when it comes to DM and we haven't had many astonishing records.

I think (from what I've heard so far) that 2013 was better for death metal and 2014 has been a much better year for black metal releases (Infestus, TGOO, Mayhem, Cloak of Altering, Agalloch, etc...)
