Revocation's self-titled album released in 2013 left me thinking two main things. The first being (aside from "Spastic") it was bad, and the second being despite its badness, the people in this band have the potential to drop a cataclysmic shit-wrecking album that would do the thrash and death genres proper justice.

"Deathless was recorded with acclaimed producer Zeuss at Planet Z studios in Massachusetts. The album is ten tracks of ambitious, catchy, and undeniably heavy material. Musically, cuts like "Madness Opus" showcase a more deliberate Revocation - restrained, if even moderately so, to deliver a slow, near-dirge like track. Alternatively, the title track highlights the diversity of Davidson's vocals with a catchy chorus. It's an ear worm the likes of which the band had only previously hinted. The rest of the album offers a refreshing variety of music and truly feels like an "album", rather than a collection of similar tracks. This is a refinement, achieved only through years of focusing on their craft."

Davidson adds, "Collectively, we feel that Deathless is our finest offering yet. The songs are incredibly varied and each one showcases a different element of the band. Technically, everyone is in top form on this record, as well, and we really pushed ourselves to deliver the best performances possible on all fronts. This is a new chapter and a new beginning for the band; we can't wait for this record to be unleashed in October!"

Perhaps I could get into this band musically but problem is vocals fucking suck to the point they ruin everything.

Agree wholeheartedly. Well for the most part, I can kinda get into it at times but the vocals are some of the worst I've heard. Interested to see them live tomorrow, I wonder if they will be any better live.

A huge step up from their last record I would say. This is a nice surprise moving towards the close of the year.

Quite an improvement over their self titled album. Everything has more bite and power. Dave's vocals have definitely improved, and his guitar playing is amazing and very technical, as expected. Still, it doesn't touch their earlier works (Existence Is Futile in particular), and seems to get repetitive toward the end. Still a great effort, though I prefer my Revocation to be a bit catchier.

Another solid album from revocation. To me this seems to have more of a progressive edge, particularly regarding songs like the title track, 'labyrinth of eyes' and 'apex', which are also my personal highlights.

It's well-executed, but lacks originality. A lot of these riffs and vocals are straight up plagiarizing The Haunted and Mastodon. Lots of potential if they can just branch out a little and find their own way.

The album has a promising start with 'A Debt Owed to the Grave' and 'Deathless', great songs!. Later goes downhill... Anyway is a solid album.

Same old Revocation.
Probably some kind of "experiment" would not hurt at this point of their discography, but with such a level of guitarwork is really hard to complain...
