It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

It's kinda rare to see a band with old influences nowadays. And, to be honest, I think that what they say about rock'n'roll is true:
"ROCK'N'ROLL IS NOT ABOUT TECHNIQUES AND 32-NOTES-A-SECOND SOLOS, IT'S ABOUT TOUCHING PEOPLE WITH YOUR MUSIC".

....uhhhh, which planet are you living on?

After Victor Anger's departure in 2009, original vocalist Sergey Kayumov returned. According to Shadow Host's official site, bassist Vasiliy Rumyantsev is no longer in the band, and Sergey Kayumov is again playing the bass.

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

If Journey and Rush are on this site, so should Triumph. Rik Emmett is a guitar god!

Adrián Barilari with the keyboardist Hugo Bistolfi, who also left Rata Blanca in 1994, form Alianza, with many musicians sessions, which were the only members permanently was Barilari and Bistolfi. The duo explore ballads sound with more keyboard presence than Rata Blanca. Alianza did not have much impact in Argentina, but in other Latin American countries. They edited three albums Sueños del Mundo (1994), Alianza (1997), and Huellas (1999).

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.
22.04.2011 - Jerryfie
AraPacis is more Classic/Prog Metal than Metalcore, AraPacis has shared the stage with The Agonist, Raven and Anvil, amongst other bands.

Not metalcore... somethin' else. Appeared with the closing track on this femme-metal (voices) compilation http://www.metalstorm.net/bands/album.php?album_id=32808 Third album 'Netherworld' released end of 2011 on Ravenheart Music, and 'Déjà-Vu' EP self-released at end of March, this year (now available for free DL from the band's site, along with about six other older songs) (it appears DV EP is 4 re-recordings of older songs - so you can hear So Many Leapers' title-track twice, and find the advances they've made over 7 years)
10.02.2015 - Valkyriestorm
Firstly, the band is an original band from the United States and is a female fronted band. They are from NYC and have been an official band since 2009. They've performed as direct support for such acts as Doro and Amaranth and have opened for Sebastian Bach, Stryper and Rhapsody of Fire, to name a few. Their debut self-titled EP (released in 2013) has been steadily picking up momentum within the US and abroad and they are currently working on releasing their first full length album. Finally, I think they would be a good fit for those that regularly check out this site and are hungry for new music!

Old school inspired Death Metal but with a strong concept and long songs. Kind of unique but still fits the style.

Latest album was recorded, mixed and mastered in Poland by the live sound Engineer of Behemoth who also worked with Decapitated, Hate,...

Their sound is interesting, well balanced between heavy, upfront parts and mellow interludes; folk and medieval influences mix together with orchestral elements, making all sound pretty epic.

They are an extremely dedicated young metal band from a small town that has no metal scene and they deserve the promotion metalstorm can give them. They have already released material with gained critical acclaim.

It's a high quality band with it's first album and EP already released. Frequently cited by the Croatian metal webzine reporters Metaljacket as the best Croatian metal band. In the last two years, the band has become hugely popular and gained a great number of fans from the world.
Actually they are closest to Melodic Djent.

Ten years of prog, five LPs, one of which, The Color Spectrum, is a two and a half hour collection of nine EPs based around the nine main colours of the visible wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation. If that doesn't pique your interest, consider The Dear Hunter's ambitious and ongoing undertaking of a six-album project, detailing the life and opinions of a boy known as "the dear hunter".
It wouldn't be the first prog rock band to deserve its spot on the 'invisible bands' list.

Peculate is unique metal project that combines contemporary forms of metal, including technical death metal and mathcore, with contemporary classical and jazz influences. It is unlike most bands on Metal Storm, and, given the shortage of coverage on avant-garde metal, could help enrich the diversity of the Metal Storm community. Peculate is also very prolific, having released several albums in less than two years.
