It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

It has been a while since being really blown away from a new discovery.
ProFusion is a bit hard to categorize, combining Progressive Metal riffs, Eclectic stuff a la Beardfish, and catchiness like, well... It just gets stuck in your mind and won't go away.
I've yet to have listened to their first album, but their second one (Rewotower) has really blown me away.
The first song of the album (Ghost House) is available on their Reverbnation page.

I'm just not impressed with bands like this these days...all this type of prog is the same. Sounds like watered down DT...

The Canadian rock band was popular in the late 1970s through the 1980s. Triumph began building their reputation across North America as a live band, peaking in the early 1980s as an import before interest gradually declined. Today, the power trio continue to receive radio airplay on Classic Rock stations and are perhaps best remembered for their positive message songs and their vibrant energetic concerts, complete with extravagant pyrotechnical light shows. Their popularity was extremely strong in Texas, where they first received strong radio attention; but, they were stellar standouts at California's US Festival, and garnered a considerable fan base and radio attention by regularly touring the world, especially throughout North America and Europe. Like their fellow Canadians Rush and Saga.

If Journey and Rush are on this site, so should Triumph. Rik Emmett is a guitar god!

this band definitely deserves place on this site!

I agree that this band deserves place on this site. It's one of the finest hard rock/progressive rock bands of Canada.

Okay, they're not metal; but they surely were/are a huge influence for some industrial/post-metal bands like Godflesh or Neurosis.
I've seen a lot of (great) bands here that have nothing to do with metal at all (Current 93 for example), so... I thought that the almighty Swans could have a chance to be featured on MS. :)
19.06.2014 - Syk
C93 were reviewed by a staffer a long, long time ago. I'm quite confident they'd never be seen here but for that fact. Don't get swanhopes up ;)
22.06.2014 - Ilham
They really have nothing to do here despite being a great band that still produces great records.
19.02.2015 - Hank80AF
They have a very unique style in his music, very personal and quite complex.
17.06.2015 - Bardusk
Swans is a must here. And yes, they are more metal than most of metal bands.
12.08.2015 - AlbusNox
They are not metal at all!!! Are u serious people?! Let's bring The Beatles on MS... Because they were a huge influence for some heavy metal bands... C'mon it's METAL STORM not MUSIC STORM!!!!
01.07.2015 - ManiacBlasphemer
Not quite a metal band, but seeing that other hard rock or glam bands are featured, I do not see why these guys shouldn't be here. Great White is one of the better bands from that thoroughly commercial movement of the 80s.

AraPacis (Ara-Patches) is a female fronted metal band hailing from Montreal, Canada. Formed in 2003 by guitarist Jerry Fielden, their main goal was to re-create some of the orignal aspects of 1970's Hard Rock and Progressive Rock and fuse it together with early 21st Century Progressive, Doom & Gothic Metal to make an interesting metal hybrid. Their debut album ''So Many Leapers'' was released in April of 2006. and their second album ''Consequences Of Dreams'' was released on October 5, 2009. The band is now working on their 3rd album.

Hello Metal Storm Staff,
first of all thanks for making and running this website.
Second, Eruptions excellent brand of thrash metal is the main reason why they should be on the site. They satisfy the need of people who love thrash that isn't too simple or too death metal infused. Great vocals, and catchy yet technical riffs, badass band all around. Plus, I'd love to see Slovenia put on the map, and I'm not even european, but it makes me happy to see metal be so international. finally, independent bands like these need as much support they can get, especially when they're so good.
thanks for your attention.
PS: They've released two full length albums and a Live Ep, and they just played at the MetalDays Fest.

CONSTANCIA started out as the brainchild of former SCUDIERO/TOKEN keyboard player Mikael Rosengren. He had written a bunch of songs that were just screaming to be completed, recorded and released. He got in touch with guitarist Janne Stark, who has previously released albums with bands like OVERDRIVE, LOCOMOTIVE BREATH, BALLS, ZELLO etc. asking him to lay down some guitars on the demos. Janne loved the songs and got even more involved in the guitar arrangements, and the seed of CONSTANCIA was planted. "I've always been a fan of the pompy side of melodic hard rock and bands like CITY BOY, STYX and TRILLION as well as the real heavy stuff. I instantly felt these songs could be the perfect marriage between the melodic rock, some progressive moments and an aggressive touch added to it, which is when I came to think of the style description: - Melogressive Metal", says Janne. Next up was to find a drummer, where Janne had previously worked with TrumPeter Svensson both in LOCOMOTIVE BREATH and MOUNTAIN OF POWER. Peter is also found in doom-folk rockers FAITH. Mikael then found JADED HEART bass-player Michael Mueller, whom he met when their respective bands shared label. After having tried out several singers Janne came to think of ANDROMEDA singer David Fremberg, who had also appeared on Janne's MOUNTAIN OF POWER album. One vocal trial track later he became the band's lead vocalist. The vast geographical differences not meaning any limitations, the album now started growing together piece by piece. It all amalgamated into an end result that is a true band effort. "It was really interesting to see it merge together and like a small weed slowly rise and break through the asphalt to finally blossom when all the pieces came together", says Janne who was appointed recording project manager. The band first tried out different engineers to mix the album, such as Beau Hill, Pontus Norgren, Pontus Lindmark and Pelle Saether, all of them doing a great job, but it was finally Fredrik Folkare (Unleashed, Eclipse, Siebenbürgen) that was chosen to mix the album. "He found the essence of what we were after, the marriage between the melodic side and the heaviness" according to Mikael. The resulting debut album "Lost And Gone" is a true revelation for all lovers of Hard Rock with strong keyboards and brilliant vocal melodies.

Soaritus, a band from the eastern Austria, known by it's heroic, thrashy, fast, heavy, but also epic, melodic, hypnotic, terrific riffing with demonic, wild, fry and at the same time clean, soul-stirring, gentle vocals.
Surrounded by deep, grounding bass tones and blasting, marching, reinforcing drumbeats. Progressive as well as regular as clockwork.

Voice Of Ruin was created in late 2008 urged by a common desire: to get on stage and have access to the highly coveted and idealized backstage room were alcohol and other illicit pleasures of rockstars are at hand.
Although disappointed by a disconcerting reality, the Swiss quintet continues to persist and ends up being nominated among the 5 best metal bands of the country at the 2013 Swiss Live Talents.
To this day, Voice Of Ruin has played more than 100 shows and toured several times; including a tour in Japan as an opening act for The Black Dahlia Murder and Fleshgod Apocalypse in 2014. After two albums and an EP, the band is releasing "Consumed" in April 2015 on Tenacity Music. An innovative project with new original titles and remixes done in collaboration with famous artists, including the legendary 80's French pop singer Desireless.

With a long career on their backs, they developed a really solid sound. Aggressive and catchy songs, great lyrics (in Spanish) and incredible performances. Also, the singer is a beast. Curious? This is a great song from their 2011 studio album "Subversivo": https://youtu.be/pvvVztn7VH8

Female fronted Progressive Metal band from Netherlands.
Evenstate is a 6-member progressive metal formation from the Netherlands, currently in the processes of releasing their debut EP 'Inside'.
The music of Evenstate can be described as aggressive, melodic, and progressive: switching between crushing guitar riffs, powerful vocal lines and harmonic sections with ease. Evenstate draws influences from industry giants such as Dream Theater and Symphony X, but is, of course, not defined by these artists alone.
In the fall of 2014, Evenstate started working on their debut EP 'Inside'. The songs were recorded and mixed under supervision of Evenstate's guitarist Mark Rog. With the forthcoming release of 'Inside', Evenstate is ready to perform, and share their music with the world.
