It has been stated many times that we're not about to feature every single metal band that has ever existed. Usually we only add already accomplished bands with at least one full-length release. Still, many bands escape our attention, so it's up to you to tell us which of them are the most worthy of being featured on Metal Storm.
Bands listed here are suggested for addition by our users. You can vote for these bands as well as provide additional comments - both of which will be taken into account when we look for the next band to feature on Metal Storm. If the band is not in the list, you can suggest it here (you need to be a registered member).
Make sure you also check the Blacklisted bands - these are the bands we're not going to add at all, since we feel they won't be appropriate for this website. Yes, some non-metal bands are already featured here, but that's not the reason to add a lot more - so we don't accept arguments like "hey, this band is way more metal than band X you have featured!".

I have only listened to their 2009 album titled Metronomicon and I like it. The album is entirely instrumental and the guys are pretty good at what they do. The track "Fuego barbarica" is what made me fall in love with this band. Check them out

Shumaun initially started as a solo project by Farhad Hossain (ex singer/guitarist/keyboardist of the Sensory Records progressive metal outfit Iris Divine). After recording a few demos, he decided to recruit a few friends to help build the project into a full-fledged collaborative band. Through the course of recording their self-titled debut album, Shumaun went through a period of tribulation while securing a drummer. Original drummer Tanvir Tomal (ex Iris Divine) had to leave for professional obligations in the middle of the recording sessions and was later replaced with Waqar Khan (Entity Paradigm), who is also well known for his work with the platinum-selling Ali Azmat of the EMI recording artist Junoon (one of South Asia's most successful rock bands). Waqar remained with the band long enough to record a few tracks on the debut record as well as appear live for some of the earlier shows. He later had to leave due to professional obligations that required relocation.
Drumming legends Travis Orbin (Darkest Hour, Periphery) and Mark Zonder (Fates Warning, Warlord) recorded the remaining drums on the debut record that's expected to be released early in the fall of 2015.
The Shumaun sound is shaped by the soaring vocals and lead guitar work of Farhad Hossain, the pounding melodic bass lines of Jose Mora, the subtle guitar nuances of Tyler Kim, and the technical and groove-oriented drumming of Tanvir Tomal, who has recently returned to the group as they are currently rehearsing to get back into the live circuit to support the new record.

1. It has Dan Watson from Infant Annihilator as a vocalist.
2. The band members that I have talked to, at least, have both been really nice and cool to me.
3. Their first EP was a huge success for the underground deathcore community.
4. They have a new album coming out soon called Patient Zero that has several tracks released already, such as Amorphous and Theophany. It sounds dope.

At the beginning, there was Loudspeaker, then Deadfish and in the end, Zenith.
Things in common for these 80's and 90's heavy music line-ups were the town of Pudasjärvi and the same young lads lethally bitten by heavy rock music.
The latest lineup, Zenith, was started on the ruins of Deadfish in 1994. All the work done with Deadfish, those workable riffs were just too precious to throw to waste...so after the lineup was formed as J. Juurikka (vocals), J. Ihme (guitar), J. Jokikokko (bass) and Mika Alatalo (drums), the band went straight into - NOT training but to the studio. A demo was fininshed in late fall of 1994. Wintry months were spent quietly until the lead singer moved back to Pudasjärvi with his brand-new Gibson in the summer of 1995. The line-up remained same yet Jouni grabbed the rhythm guitar in additon to his mic.
The band was playing and training just for their own pleasure, until after many coincidences a certain Kari Tykkyläinen got hold of the original demo of Zenith. Kari asked the guys to play in a bikers' gathering - and that invitation was something not to refuse.
That gig played in July 1995 was to be the last performance together on the last millenia, as the members were soon to move out around the world and "get real jobs". During these years, these young lads grew up to be men. Yet the inner burn for heavy music was never really put out, all the opposite. Line-up was strenghtened by guitar virtuoso originally from Pudasjärvi, Jukka "Jui" Uusi-Illikainen and so in 2010 - after 15 years, stage of Jyrkkäkoski was filled with melodic heavy sounds of...Can't Feel the Pain! When the line-up was completed with percussions master Ville Hanhisuanto in fall 2010, the setting was ready! And the journey shall continue...
Within the hands of these musicians, mainly from Pudasjärvi, heavy music sounds specially talented - and their playing skills haven't at least gone worce since the early days - due to constant playing in other bands and line-ups. These guys can be seen in the lines of Burning Point, Stargazery, Rytmiterapia, Wonder Bros, Ruba...just to mention a few. Their music is guitar-driven, even progressive hued riffs and rhiming, unison guitar melodies and fast solos in between of straight 'n harsh heavy pounding.

Arkentype is a progressive metal band from the southern part of Norway. Based at the music conservatory by the University in Agder, Arkentype produced, recorded and made the album "Disorientated" (to be released) by themselves. Then sending it to Daniel Bergstrand and George Nerantzis (Meshuggah, In Flames ++) at Dug Out Productions in Sweden for mixing and mastering.
Genre wise their music is best described as Progressive Metal, but the band themselves does not see this as a limit, and goes way outside the genre. Mixing the "new" progressive metal sound with their personal influences and experiences is what makes Arkentype a truly unique band.
After releasing just small video clips and photos during the recording of their album "Disorientated", they have already been booked to the metal festival "Southern Discomfort". With the release of the music video for the single "Ashes and Dirt", the bands journey for world domination has begun.

Music: Virial is a technical death metal band that keeps the musicality and doesn't excessively try to brake the sonic wall. There are blast beats, there are double bass parts, but there are also acoustic guitars, clean e-guitars and keyboard parts.
Content: The lyrical content of Virial is the universe. The album "Organic Universe" is a concept album and structured chronological: the Intro called "Quantum Fluctuations" is followed by "Coincidence of Existence" (formation of the universe) as opener. 8 other songs about civilizations, unknown solar systems, theories and ideas about how the universe and everything in it works build the main part of the album. The 12th and last track is called "The Ultimate Fate", a description of how the universe will end.
