Devin Townsend will continue to bring us wacky music with their new album, Transcendence. Today, we get to check out the record's first details. In the last few months, the band has been hard at work recording and the tracks are now sent off to be mastered. The worldwide release date is set for September 2nd in various formats and you can try to figure out the new album front cover below.
Only Half There is the title of Canadian musical genius Devin Townsend's autobiography. The book details have been fully revealed now and his official autobiography is now available for pre-order here via Rocket 88. The book comes out in August 2016 in a standard and a limited edition with the latter including loads of exclusive goodies.
This could be interesting. Devin Townsend has been confirmed for the new convention type event called HeavyCon in London for three days starting on Friday September 30th. Devin will be speaking in the main auditorium on the Friday, conducting a guitar master-class on Saturday, and people will be able to hear new Devin Townsend music on Sunday. He will also be signing autographs and meeting fans all throughout the weekend.

Earlier this year, Devin Townsend played an incredible sold-out show at London's legendary Royal Albert Hall venue, bringing the story of Ziltoid to life on stage as well as playing tracks from across his back catalogue. This larger-than-life evening was captured on film and is set to be released on the 13th of November 2015. Shot on 15 high-definition cameras, it was directed by Paul M Green (Devin Townsend, Opeth, BB King, Steve Hackett) and features special guests such as Dominique Lenore Persi (Stolen Babies), Chris Jericho (world-famous wrestler and singer of US band Fozzy) and Jean Savoie, with video narration by Bill Courage, as well as 12 singers and actors as cast and choir. Devin Townsend will embark on an acoustic tour in the U.K. this October. On these special 'An Evening With' acoustic shows, he will be playing stripped down versions of his material, as well as taking fan requests and even a little spoken-word. The tickets for this tour go on sale Wednesday 9th September at 10am GMT.
Devin Townsend released the double album, Z², in late 2014 and will now issue each part, Sky Blue and Dark Matters, in their own separate packages this summer on June 29th, via Inside Out Music, in case you are interested. The mighty Devin Townsend are releasing their new album Z² this October. Their show at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall venue happening on the 13th of April next year is already sold out, and now they can reveal an extensive run of European shows for 2015 which will include support from Periphery and Shining (NOR).
