05:36 - psykometal Oh One Direction is a band? Lol, I was wondering what he meant be a "one direction tour banner". I thought he meant the banner only went in a single direction. Lol. Grammar fail ftw.
05:33 - huascaman There's no such ad. It's your subconscious telling you that you want to go see one direction. :}

After the cancellations of Opeth and Katatonia less than a month ago Turkey's Unirock Open Air Festival, set to take place on the coming weekend from 9th to 11th of September 2011 in Istanbul, has to suffer from two further high-profile cancellations. Sweden's power metal band Hammerfall and Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie both report communication and logistic problems with the festival organizer which force both bands to pull out of the billing.

Laying down the foundation themselves in their own studio in Sweden, the band then traveled to Nashville, TN, to finish it up with acclaimed producer James Michael (Mötley Crüe, Scorpions, Meat Loaf). He also mixed the album, giving it a decisive updated edge without losing anything of the essence of the band.
"James helped us create something that was new and exciting while still in the line of our heritage", Oscar Dronjak, guitar player and founder of the band, explains.
"Never before have we sounded this fresh and up to date without losing the essence of what HammerFall is all about: Pure "Infected" Heavy Metal!", comments vocalist and frontman Joacim Cans.
After several months of recordings in Göteborg, Sweden and Nashville, TN, Sweden's most successful heavy metal band Hammerfall has finished recording the new album.
Guitarist Oscar Dronjak had the following to say: "That's it, the album recording is finally finished, over, done with! We had an absolute blast throughout this whole experience, and working with James Michael (Mötley Crüe, Sixx: A.M., Scorpions, Meat Loaf, Hillary Duff) was an incredible experience!
The goal was to have a lot of laughs while creating the strongest Hammerfall record to date, and I'd say we succeeded beyond even our own high expectations! It feels great to know that being in this band for fifteen years can feel this invigorating! We're super, super happy with the outcome, and I am sure our fans will be as well. It's going to be Hammerfall like you've never heard before, yet you will recognize the distinct qualities that makes us what and who we are. If Reinventing The Steel hadn't already been used, it would be the perfect title for this album!"
In just two weeks, Sweden's most successful Heavy Metal band Hammerfall will enter the studio to record the follow up to their gold album No Sacrifice, No Victory.
The songwriting is almost finished, and guitarist Oscar Dronjak reveals: "The new material contains a lot of fresh ways to look at the musical ideas, we're trying to preserve the essence of what HammerFall is while at the same time updating the execution and approach. Definitely heavier and less straight forward than the previous albums, yet remaining true to what we believe heavy metal is all about."
Expect the unexpected! The quintet also decided to work with a new producer, which is significant since the last four albums have been produced by Charlie Bauerfeind. The choice fell on James Michael, who recently worked with Mötley Crüe, Scorpions, Meat Loaf and others.
Hammerfall have announced they'll be doing a short UK Tour in May. Here's the epic word from the band:
"The wait is over: HammerFall will finally return in style to the United Kingdom! Kicking off spring and May with a week of Templar invasion on the British shores, it will be nothing short of... yes, a crusade. In the name of heavy metal, time to fly your rebel banners high, folks!"

Magnus Rosén (ex-Hammerfall, ex-Jorn, X-World/5) is the new bass player of Revolution Renaissance. The band is currently writing new material for a 2010 release.
A few weeks ago, Revolution Renaissance signed a 3-album deal with Napalm Records. With their strong promotional capabilities and a separate office in the USA, the band is expecting to get much better exposure than with the Age of Aquarius album and also finally do touring.
In the meantime Revolution Renaissance also parted ways with bass player Justin Biggs and the keyboard player Michael Khalilov. According to the band: "During the recordings of Age of Aquarius it became evident to everybody that RR was not the right band for the guys. Justin is more of a thrash guy and Mike expected the music to be something totally different. Out of these reasons the decision has been made that it is better to go separate ways. Both are great guys and the remaining members Timo Tolkki, Gus Monsanto and Bruno Agra wish them well and best of luck on their musical endeavours."
