Scorpions - In The Studio

Scorpions have returned to the studio. It seems like they abandoned their retirement plans as the band announced last year that they were working on unfinished songs from the early 80s, leftovers from the Blackout album and Love At First Sting. The quintet has worked on a dozen tracks with producers Mikael "Nord" Andersson for an album that is tentatively scheduled for release later this year.

Gorguts - New Album Title And Release Date Revealed

Canadian technical death metallers Gorguts have announced that they will release their fifth album to be titled Colored Sands on August 30th in Europe and September 3rd in North America via Season Of Mist. This is the long-awaited follow-up to From Wisdom To Hate released back in 2001 after which the band went on a hiatus.

!T.O.O.H.! - Streaming New Song

Czech metallers !T.O.O.H.! have gone through a rough patch. Josef "Humanoid" Vesely was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia but the band persevered and continue to work on their new album Democratic Solution despite the announcement that they had decided to break up after its release. Now the time has come to finally hear new material from the band, more specifically the new song "Democratic Solution", the title track of the album which should come out this year. Enjoy!

Newsted - New Song Online, Debut Album Details

Newsted led by former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted have been working on their upcoming debut album and have finally started revealing more about it. The release which follows the EP Metal will simply be called Heavy Metal Music and will be available worldwide on August 6th, 2013. The cover and tracklist of the album were also unveiled but the most important part is that the brand new song "Heroic Dose" has made its online debut. Wintersun - Headlining North American Tour Confirmed

While they don't release their new album Time II, and that could be a while but the plan is 2014, Wintersun have announced a North American headlining tour for this summer. The band played a series of sold-out shows last year in North America with Eluveitie and the Finns will now return for a headlining tour this August/September. Joining them are Italian symphonic death metal champions Fleshgod Apocalypse, melodic tech-death outfit Arsis and up-and-comers Starkill.

Amon Amarth - Release Mini-Documentary Part II

Swedish melodic death metallers Amon Amarth have released part two of their mini-documentary Forging Mjölnir which has three parts in total. The mini-documentary was filmed and directed by Luke Daley and celebrates the upcoming release of their ninth studio offering Deceiver Of The Gods. Temple Of Baal - Finishing Up New Album, New Live Dates

It has been a while since we heard from French black metallers Temple Of Baal. Well, the group is currently putting the finishing touches to their fourth album. The recording sessions are taking place at Hybreed Studios with Andrew Guillotin (Glorior Belli). The new album will consist of ten tracks with a running time of about one hour, and shall be released by Agonia Records in the fall of 2013. The band describes the effort as "a blend between Lightslaying Rituals aggression, and the last split CD The Vision Of Fading Mankind's epic atmospheres."
