Judas Priest - Update On New Album, Start Recording In January

Dissident aggressors Judas Priest are working on a new album to follow Redeemer Of Souls (2014) and guitarist Richie Faulkner was recently interviewed by Sweetwater editorial director Mitch Gallagher during "Making Hard Rock Look Easy", a three-day recording master class which was held October 20-22 at Sweetwater's campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band has been in the studio working on new songs but the actual recording will begin in January. The album is expected in 2017.

Judas Priest - To Start Working On New Material

Two years after their return with Redeemer Of Souls, iconic heavy metallers Judas Priest aren't resting anytime soon. The wheels keep on turning and the plan is to start working on new song ideas soon, according to guitarist Richie Faulkner. On March 25th, the band will release the concert film and live CD Battle Cry but they are already thinking about and preparing the band's next step.

Judas Priest - To Release Live DVD/Blu-Ray

English heavy metal icons Judas Priest will release a new live album/DVD/Blu-ray this year. Entitled Battle Cry, it will be available on March 25th, 2016 and was recorded live on August 1st, 2015 at Germany's Wacken Open Air festival in front of an audience of 85,000 people. It shall be available on a 15-track CD, with the entire show on Blu-ray and DVD (running over 94 minutes), as well as digital audio and video formats. The DVD and Blu-ray also contains three bonus tracks shot in Poland on December 10th, 2015 at The Ergo Arena, Gdańsk, Poland. The setlist features a few songs from their latest album Redeemer Of Souls and many classics as well.

Judas Priest - Confirm New North American Tour Dates

Judas Priest have announced new shows in the U.S. and Canada. The legendary heavy metal band will be playing at Slipknot's Knotfest 2015 in October. Around that time, the group will also make a few shows with support from Mastodon, who recently cancelled a bunch of tour dates in Europe. Sounds like a winning combination.

Knotfest 2015 - Announce Judas Priest, Cannibal Corpse, At The Gates

Knotfest is returning to San Bernardino, California this October. The festival curated by Slipknot now in its third year has announced many of the performers already and it will take place on October 23rd (pre-party), 24th, 25th, 2015 on five stages. The biggest names confirmed so far apart from Slipknot of course, are Judas Priest, Korn, Mastodon, At The Gates, Cannibal Corpse and many more. See all the details below.

Judas Priest - To Release 'Defenders Of The Faith' Expanded Edition

This year marks the 30th anniversary of one of Judas Priest's best albums: Defenders Of The Faith. On March 9th 2015, a newly expanded 3CD version of the heavy metallers 1984 album Defenders Of The Faith will be unleashed. This special 30th Anniversary Edition includes the original ten-track album, fully remastered and a complete live recording from the Defenders tour, recorded at the Long Beach Arena in California on 5th May, 1984.
