Steven Wilson - Premiere 'Happy Returns' Video

Proggers Steven Wilson have recently released their latest video for the beautiful song "Happy Returns", which you might recognize from their 2015 album, Hand. Cannot. Erase. and the song also features on the personally curated Transience album. The video, directed by Youssef Nassar, tells the fictional story of a woman who moves to a large city, only to gradually disappear. The video debuts as the band is about to embark on a North American tour this November.

Be Prog! My Friend Festival - Announce Steven Wilson, Opeth And More

Fans of the progressive persuasion take notice because you might want to make a trip to Barcelona next summer. The Spanish Be Prog! My Friend festival has announced its line-up and it's looking delicious. Since its inception in 2014 the Barcelona based festival Be Prog! My Friend has played host to the likes of Anathema, Devin Townsend, TesseracT, Camel, Meshuggah, Katatonia, Riverside, Ihsahn and Alcest. 2016 will see Be Prog! My Friend co-headlined by Steven Wilson and fellow progressive heavyweights Opeth. And that is only the beginning for the third edition.

Progressive rock mastermind Steven Wilson has just announced his new album, very shortly after previously releasing Hand. Cannot. Erase., their newest album. The 22nd of January will see the release of a new Steven Wilson album, 4 ½, so titled because it forms an interim release between Steven's recently released fourth album Hand. Cannot. Erase. and the next studio album.

Steven Wilson - Crowned Prog Rock King At Progressive Music Awards

After receiving very positive feedback for his brilliant 2015 album, Hand. Cannot. Erase., Steven Wilson was awarded the Album Of The Year award, the Commercial Breakthrough award and The Storm Thorgerson Grand Design Award at this year's Progressive Music Awards held in London, UK. Following these awards, Wilson was crowned prog rock king as he continues to find solo success.

Blackfield - Steven Wilson & Alan Parsons On Next Album

Good news were promised, and good news were delivered by Aviv Geffen, mastermind of Blackfield, earlier today. It seems that both Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, ex-Blackfield) and Alan Parsons will be featured in the next Blackfield album. The band has posted a photo from a February 2015 recording session for album number #5, with no extra information given about which capacity they are participating in. It will also re-introduce the co-operation between successful Englishman Steven Wilson and Israeli Aviv Geffen in an album.

Erase., the second leg of the band's 2015 Hand Cannot Erase Tour has been announced and will cover the United States and Canada. Steven Wilson - Unveil New Album Cover And Tracklist

Slowly, we begin to know more about Steven Wilson's upcoming fourth solo album. We already knew that it would be called Hand. Cannot. Erase. and now the cover artwork and tracklist have also been unveiled. The record is due for release via Kscope on the following dates: February 27th in Germany, March 2nd in the UK and rest of the world, and 3rd of March in the US and Canada. Steven Wilson - Releases Collaboration Song With Mariusz Duda In Honor Of Late Fan

Here is a nice gesture. Steven Wilson and friend Mariusz Duda (Riverside, Lunatic Soul) have teamed up to record a song together, and for a very special reason. Alec Wildey, a fan and member of the Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson street teams, has passed away after battling a cancer of the lymphatic system and liver cancer at the age of just 26. With a short time left, Alec emailed Steven Wilson to ask if it was possible that his two favourite musicians could set one of his poems, "The Old Peace" to music. To honor him, the song "The Old Peace" with Alec's lyrics is now available for purchase and download. All profits go to raising money for cancer charities.

Steven Wilson - Bidding Farewell To Blackfield

As he mentioned before, Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Storm Corrosion) plans to have one final performance with the side band and project Blackfield, then he will leave the band to focus on his solo career. The final show will happen next week, in New York City at the Best Buy Theater on the 1st of May, and will be his farewell and thank you to the band and fans. Aviv Geffen will continue recording and touring as Blackfield with new collaborators.
